Weekend of May 10th,
Haven't seen anything on this Run lately. We have a month to get it together.
This is the same weekend the AZ XJ club holds their Annual Run ( it will be their 7th annual). I planned on being there for this run again,, :D I'll camp smack dab in the middle of the Clubs.:D
Sooooooooo, I am hoping to see all the absolute coolest, most fun, fantastic socializing bunch of the best desert wheeling jeepers * in the state of Arizona at the Draw for this event!
( * of course all the coolest of the coolest do it in a XJ ) ;)
don't want to take credit for this run, I just can't remember who it was that started this plan months ago, ... originated from the Sedona XJ run

Earlier threads said 7th Annual?

Not our 7th annual, I was refering to the AZ XJ club, and I was mistaken it's their 8 annual run.
Our 1st annual XJ run will be the same weekend and place as the other clubs. So it's going to be an "ANNUAL XJ JAMBOREE"

For those that haven't been to Pyeatte Draw.

click this link. http://tinyurl.com/3zc8ym

Where you see the arrow is the turn off Pyeatte Draw road or better know
as NF-198. Once on NF-198 follow up over the saddle back and back down
the north side of the saddle back. About 3 miles from the top of the
saddle back is the turn off to Pyeatte Draw.
(The large wash crossing is 500 feet before the right turn into camp.)
There is a trail marker but I can never remember the number.. I'll put
some AZXJ signs up along the route just for refrence..

If for some reason you pass the turn off and end up on Control road NF-64
you will need to turn around.

I'm sure somone will have thier CB on Ch4 listening..

See you all there!

Thanks for the info. Dave.
I've been waiting for who ever it was that announce the 1st XJ run to come forward and start the wheel in motion. But haven't heard anything. I'm giving them till next Thursday, to surface... after that ..well I'm going to start spreading the word of reminder of the Run.
I don't know if everyone broke off from the AZVJC or what!! I don't check the other VJC sight much, I hardly have time to cruise one sight. Kinda :(, and I miss seeing the gangs words across the screen.
Well I'll be there, and looking forward to it. I'm going to see if I can get a fire started under a couple of XJ ARSes and join me for camping that weekend.

Digger, that date is set-up for the ArizonaXJ annual run. I WAS going to set up and annual AZVJC XJ only run in May but decided against it at that time. I will set one up in the near future though.

I am definitely planning on making it down there at least saturday and sunday. Oh and Dave....if I do make it I think my friends "Jim and Jack" will be coming with me :devilish:

 I honestly didn't see a thread that plans had changed. The last I remember reading on the forum is that Dave said it was cool to have the 1st annual AZVJ XJ run right along with his run at the Draw... sorry everyone.. I guess I was wrong in starting up this thread. :o Sooooo, how come you guys didn't say something sooner in this thread?????
I'll be at your run Dave. (8th Annual AZ XJ Run)

Well, I guess both "yes" and "no". I didn't want to hijack Dave's run/camp out, but because when I was trying to organize the AZVJC run around the same dates they just kind of flowed right into each other. I guess what I was trying to say is that we will do an ACTUAL official AZVJC XJ only run at a later date. Does that make sense at all?!?

I would definitely be down for a Payette run as the weather heats up in the valley. I assume the 8th Annual AZ XJ run is XJs only?

Thanks,
Sean

Sean, you'll have to ask Dave@desertfab that question.

I think I should close this thread now.
And again, sorry if I caused confusion!
good night all, and I'll be seeing you on the Draw at "The 8th Annual AZ XJ Run"

Dave, the 2007 run on the Draw was one of the best runs of the year!
