Sunday Afternoon Run - FJ

I'm going out with a newbie Sunday afternoon for a semi-casual run in the Florence Junction area. Think Elvis or somthing similar and leave via Box Canyon. Meet up at 1:30 PM at the airdown spot on cottonwood?

I'm going to meet someone @ 9am to do the same thing! He's not from around here and I thought I'd show him my playground! If you want to meet us @9 your welcome to join us.

I'd be interested in going if my 1975 CJ5 with a 2.5 inch lift and 31's with a rear trac lock isn't going to hold you back too much. I haven't explored the FJ area yet and would like to see something new. I'm game for either 9:00am or 1:30pm.

I'm supposed to go with a buddy of mine on a shake down run early in the morning, if we get back soon enough I'd like to join you guys. I've never done Elvis but would like to.

Count me in on this one. 1:30pm @ the Cottonwood exit? That's like six miles south of the turn at Florence Junction, right?

Good - two takers. We'll meet at Cotton Wood Rd which is south on 79 by about 7 miles. We might end up doing Upper Woodpecker which I know a lot better and has more bypasses. Elvis is more fun, but we will see what the group wants to do.

33" tires will handle these trails well. Good spotting will get others through, you'll just have to be prepared to bounce on a few things here and there. Remember extra water and the basics.
