Called up Interco on Thursday afternoon and got some new tires delivered this morning!:) 42" Irok competition stickies. The one picture is sitting next to an explorer on 33's! These things are so soft I will probably only get about 20 miles out of them, but it will probably be all vertical!

Yes I had them delivered to Hunter's. He's bending up my chassis for me. The old tires were 37's but I sold them already, sorry. Here's some more bling that came in the mail yesterday. Psc full hydro setup and Atlas cable shifters to get the dang shifters out of the back of my leg!

I read that he had them and was really digging them! I was confused tho because as far as I can tell they have never made a 39.5 Irok sticky?

Those tires suck. There is nothing better than the BFG MTs in 32s.

Just keep telling yourself that, It will at least save you some money. And I've heard that some people get used to other people laughing at them.

Question;
What kinds of "beefing up" have you done to your axles? Can D60s handle those tires without upgrading the axles? I know that a stock D60 can handle 42s but sticky and with that tread? Will you have to run bigger spacers in the back and add spacers in the front? Just curious because I was wanting to run 42s but was not so sure about it so I decided on 40s.

Well I think it depends a lot on what you are running and how you drive. Its the same with the stock dana 30 in a TJ. Some guys make them live with 37's and other guys are blowing them up all the time with 33's. In my case I have 35 spline shafts in the rear. I'm going to put in 35 spline stubs and drive flanges with ctm's for the front outers and my friend is making me a set of inners that should be stronger than anything you can buy. I'm sure that once I start pushing really hard things will break but I'm trying to build it so that I can get maximum trail time on the hardest trails with out breaking every time I'm out.

I really hope you're right, because I don't won't to go popping axles with the 600 ft lbs of torque and the 4.3 Atlas when I take it out for the first time.

Those are great tires, plus you can get them when you want them. As stated anything can break, the 60 will hold up well just have to remember you have so many horse power hours per part. If you throw 600 foot pounds at them in the rocks something will break, almost certainly, if you have to throw that at the rig then you best build with bigger parts, but it would be fun to see what happens!!

Thats what made my decision final. I just didn't have a good connection for the other comp stickies and even if I did get them what would happen when I wasted one? Most people seemed to be really happy with the Irok's so availability and price made it an easy decision. Lets hope I chose wisely as I don't plan on replacing them until they are smooth.

You did!! They in my opinion work as good if not better than the Maxxis and although they don't hook quite as good as the BFGs (IMO and first hand) They are available and the little bit of height with a long wheel base is nice. I will be going that direction soon once I can deal with the price!!

Yeah its a lot of money but what are you going to do? I have yet to have some one offer to sponser me to play!LOL I've noticed that you seem to get the maximum amount of wear out of yours. Do you notice a big difference in traction when they start to get down pretty low?

Amazingly they still work great down to the steel cord (for ice). Optimal with the BFGs is about half lug or less with the front edges of the lugs worn smooth, when they get real low they do not stick as well so I just drive faster. Man I wish I had new tires...hey, want me to break yours in for you, that way you will get them at their best
