Drove by today and they only had one Jeep and it looked like they were emptying out the office. Anyone know for sure?

Yea she's the ex wife of The guy who owns hickey jeeps. I guess he started topless, and she got it in the divorce. He then started hickey jeeps (which is still in business).
Chalk one up for the ex-husbands.

I like Scott Hickey. He took care of my exhaust when I first got my Jeep. The previous owner had a cheap cherry bomb installed and it was vibrating my teeth out.

I have to disagree. When I was still looking for a vehicle for Paige, I made it a point to drive my Jeep down there with her to see what they had. God forbid I inconvinienced them with a few questions(that I knew the answers to already, and they did not). And their prices were WAY out of line for what the vehicle was. 97 TJ with 87K and D35 and totally stock.......$16,999+tax and crap. They said it was a "rare find with low miles"..........whatever. And that was their CHEAP ONE! This was just last summer.

I stopped in looking for a Jeep. It will most defiantly be my only time. I am not better than anybody else, but I don’t like being treated like I am stupid.
I like the idea of a used Jeep Only lot; I just think some customer service training is needed.

Brian, did you try Hickey Jeep? It is the ex-husband. Maybe he has loosened up now. His lot is on Main, just West of Power on the South side. Make sense?! :D He has quite a few jeeps, even a webpage. I bet you can haggle a good price seeing how the economy is rough. I have never dealt with him so I cannot say if it will be worth your while.... I can't imagine he is making a ton of money selling only used jeeps.

have you seen the price of his jeeps 20 grand for a 2003 tj with a d-35 and a 3.5 lift with bfg all terrains

I know, but I was thinking with the economy slowing he probably sits on his inventory for quite some time. Plus his location seems odd, not opportunistic for good business. Soooo, thought he could be talked down now... I would not pay what he is asking for any of his inventory!

I bought my 2006 TJ from hicky.....I got a great deal.......But didnt like his attitude at all....Seemed to me (in my opinion) to be a real Jerk...Dont know if he was in a bad mood or what...But if it was not for the good deal I would have walked out of there showing him my middle finger.......

Way back in 99 or 2000, I actually bought a CJ from Topless. When I looked at
it the AC didn't work, so we haggled a deal, 7,000. It had a springover and 33's
was super clean inside and out with a hardtop and 6 cylinder, auto. I came in on
Friday with the money, Cash, and drove out of there. Got down to Hayden and
Mcdowell rd and the AC quit. I turned around and went back. By the time I got
there it was hot as hell. Demanded my money back and then left. If they can't
fix the ac in one week, forget it! I remember the sales lady went in and asked the
boss lady, "Can he do this?" They gave me back the same bills I gave them. I
was so pissed off I wouldn't have took the jeep for 2K!

I drove in to take a look at the jeeps and I was there for 20 minutes and the closest anyone came out to see if I needed anything was a guy in the garage cleaning, who by the way looked at me and then went back to his cleaning.....Customer Service? that was 3 years ago and I have not so much as driven by it....

WOW!!!
I am speechless... I had no issues whatsoever with either of them...
and when I needed parts they were there to help and get those parts
for me at their cost...
When I drove up I was always greeted with no waiting....
I dont know what to say guys... my experience with them was a good one
this is why we bought 2 jeeps from them ....

Me too I had a great time with them. We talked about diffent trails and talked about some of the jeep that she sold to memebers on the board and so on. A few time i was down by the shop and just stoped in to BS and always had time.

I went down there a few times when I was looking at Jeeps and no one bothered to help, so I moved on. Ended up getting an unbelievable deal at a tent sale a few weeks later trough Midway Chevy.

Maybe he has some "bad days"? And yes I was at Hickey Jeep.
As a person trying to make a living selling blinds and shutters, EVERYBODY is treated like a king, until they show no respect. (for me or others) Just good manners.
Wow what a rant were on I am not normally like this. He just rubbed me the wrong way, could have been the YJ I was driving.

Jeep trophy truck. Sorry, AirPark is to far North for me. Tell them Brian Brooks sent you.

I looked at Topless in January and she was downright Bi$%^y to me and way overpriced. As a result I went elsewhere and got a much better deal. And believe me when I say I would have rather gave my busines to another nearby business owner...but damn....more flys with honey than vinegar...she was all vinegar

Wow they got desperate. When I saw it I had to sign the non-disclosure and everything. It seems to me she just bought stock jeeps at auction, lifted em and put bigger rubber and rims on em....pretty simple business model. How she expected to get such a big profit is beyond me. Hell I could do that from my driveway like the Jeep guy down the street.

Yeah I looked into buying this business too but for what they were asking and what they actually had the price was ridiculous. I have more tools in my own garage and probably more parts as well. the only thing worth anything was the jeeps but they wanted full value for those. I figured if i wanted to do what they were doing i could do it from scratch and not have to deal with the problems of repairing a broken business. just plain wasnt worth the headache it would have been.

I will say one thing from my brief experience with buying auction cars:You typically pay more than what you would give on a trade!!! If you were able to take jeeps on trade or buy them outside of az and then refurbish them with a lift tires etc..maybe you could make a decent profit. Then again...folks here don't like rust much! Then again we bought 2 from the guy that imports the Hawaii jeeps and they are all rust buckets and in the end we lost our *** on them

That's the trouble with auctions, for the most part you only get the item when everyone else agrees you are paying too much.
