Moab June 4th thru June 9th

April and I will be driving both rigs (death to oil rich bastards!) to Moab...leaving the evening of Wednesday June 4th, and returning Monday morning the 9th, coming back through The Valley of the Gods. We'll be taking the kids, boy 15, girls 13 and 10. April and our oldest girl will have mountain bikes in tow. I will not wheel anything that's not motorized...so have a ball without me on the slick rock girls.

We'll be lodging at The Apache Motel Thursday night thru Sunday night. I'll be exploring trails in my Wells book...and trying really hard to keep my rig in 1 piece, so, nothing too extreme, unless I get bored early on.

So far we have 1 other member set to join us, and we'll be meeting up with him in Flagstaff on the way up.

I know it's hot in Moab in June...but I'm willing to bet the temps will not be within 10 degrees of Phoenix, so just leave it at that. April has been biking up there in June for 4 years and if she can do that, I can flip on the a/c.

I would love to go with you. I'm familiar with a few trails up there, but sounds like you don't want to hurt anything! I will have to see as time gets closer if I can get the time off of work and if I have the funds for the rich oil people.

I'm new to the group but not to wheeling. Just moved into the valley last fall and found out about this group last week.

I'm more concerned about the ol'lady's rig getting hurt. Mine is pretty stout, but hers is only lifted with tires. She has Mtn bikes too...so she won't be upset if I run some more difficult trails without her.

Canceled trip due to cost of fuel and home ac unit needing repaired unexpectedly. Maybe next year.
