Hi, my name is Josh. I was trying to get my foot in the door for a good entry level position. I'm located in Tucson, Az but would really like to relocate to the Valley. I have posted some of my highlights below. Thanks for your time!

Education: Northern Arizona University; Expected Graduation Date 8/08
Major: Bachelors in Liberal Studies emphasizing in Parks & Recreation Management.

Alpha Lambda Delta National Academic Honors Society Member.

Graduate of the Park Ranger Training Program. Northern Arizona University; November 2005. This is a Seasonal Law Enforcement Academy. Advanced Resource Protection; this class exposed me to the level and complexity of threats to resources in the global era. We discussed socio-economic drivers of resource exploitation. We also examined hot to forecast resource risks, and how to employ tools such as information gathering, targeted enforcement Programs, specialized forensics, and carefully designed education programs to resolve resource risk. 20 hours.

Wildland Firefighter – Seasonal
• Worked on a crew, responsible for team building, safety, community protection, wildfire hazard mitigation, tool operation/maintenance, saw operation/maintenance, hazard tree assessment, forest insect/ disease identification/mitigation, vehicle maintenance, wildfire response, handline construction, saw line construction, structure protection, burnout operations, prescribed fire prep, prescribed fire implementation (pile and broadcast), ignition device operation/maintenance (drip torch/fuzee), home assessment, neighborhood assessment, public contacts, interagency coordination/cooperation, ICS, proper communication, Bendix King radio operation (mobile and portable), Wildland Fire Training (I-100/S-130/S-190/L-180,S-212);Physical Training.
May 2005- Sept 2005: Slide Rock State Park, AZ
Ranger I- Seasonal
• My primary responsibilities included enforcing entrance fees while performing other job duties such as welcoming visitors to the park, providing park resource information and recording statistics. I enhanced the quality of the visitor experience by making sure the visitors had the knowledge to use the park facilities and resources. In this position I was responsible for opening and closing the entrance station. This process involves counting large amounts of cash, checks, and then recording the cash income of the station. I was accountable for securing large amounts of cash. I was responsible for educating visitors on park regulations to prevent violations Arizona State Law. I often worked alone and unsupervised at the entrance station. In this position I met and exceeded customer service standards by providing courteous and professional customer care. Other duties included; answering phones, answering visitor questions, maintaining a supply of information materials, the ability to deal with foreign visitors (high volume),collected water quality samples, CPR Certified, First Aid Certified, patrolled creek area, landscaping duties, and maintenance duties.
