This is a thread to show folks what can happen when you come over to the dark side. Post up the pics that I hear chicks dig: body damage, flops, rolls, breaks, etc. Letting folks know what can happen when playing seems to be a good place to start. I'll post up one or two of mine and see where it goes.

Just a few.........there are no bypasses for these obstacles, and 2 out of 3 almost guarantee body damage...........I do not need to post my flop pics, they are scattered throughout the pics forum.

Name of the trail is JD...the obstacle is the main line on the main waterfall. Lines on right and left too, which are the bypasses, but still noteasy. Quite a few of the people that day needed a tug or winch to get up the bypass. Paige was 1 of 2 out of 16 who made the fall.....the other one who made it was a female also, Shauna. The girls showed up the guys that day. The trail is about a 3.5 with that obstacle, the rest is relatively easy when dry, but wet is a different story. There are a few other good obstacles, but all have bypasses around them. The trail is pretty long, but really pretty. Lots of overgrown at the start though, so pinstripes are a possibility, as well as a chance of damage. The trail minimum requirements are around 33s and at least one locker, but we got an XJ on 31s through with a LOT of work. Fun day with the daughter for sure!

What is your WB? It is pretty steep, but not like AA or CD. There is also the BO angle issue with a Jeep, which you would not have an issue with, if you are under 95".

gotpower

I guess we could winch, I think I could get the front end up, but I don't know how much ooomph I'd need to get over.....even with a 6.5.1 TC a 1.3 is still......well a 1.3 :)

When it is dry, it is a good crawl obstacle, when wet, you need a bump. And a winch always helps.

lancetkenyon

Belly clearance and tire size? You should be golden with the 100 WB though, as long as you don't get hung up.

gotpower

I'm lyin, I may be more like 81"......had to check what factory wheelbase was and add 2 could only go an inch forward and an inch in back do to lift......haven't measured at belly...tires are 31's locked front and rear....

03-28-2008, 05:10 PM
Hardcore is a mindset... OK equipment and driving experience help a little :smug:

I ended up winching the main fall but I tried it when I originally had 33s and a 3 in SA lift. The mindset is being willing to try things that are harder and harder. :aagh:

Oh, I'm all about HARDCORE, but Momma looks at it differently. $$$$$$$ :) I'd be willing to try that ledge, hell I did squeeze rock with half the lift I've got now and no xfer case gearing, and it was very wet!!!! had to winch in two spots but now I feel its much more capable. We'll see, I don't get many weekends off work, so its hard to hook up with some of ya!!!

Maybe change your forumn name to less is more... as in less body parts/sheet metal the better.... less to damage and fix... but I guess that would defeat the purpose of HardCore Jeepers... :2thumbsup:

That was back in March and Rich posts it up every chance he gets. 40" creepies and I got a big 'ol rock wedged between the rear of the tire and the frame. It stopped the tire fast and BLAMMO! That trail(not MR) kicks *** and I want to run it again, now.

Where is it located?

This is still one of my favorite pics... Thats a very tough obstacle and your right Lance... the bypasses are not to shake a stick at. I ran it 6 months ago or so on 33's with my 4 inch lift and it pushed me to the limits... squeezed through with only a bit of rash on my rear fender flare. There was a Tacoma on 40's that couldn't get up the right side which was shocking... he did crawl the center line like it was a speed bump

There was a Tacoma on 40's that couldn't get up the right side which was shocking... he did crawl the center line like it was a speed bump

i remember that day and oh yeh i crawled it.lol that day was a blast

In the above photo, my 16 year old daughter was 1 of 2 people out of 16 who got that obstacle. The only other person that made it that day was Shocker, another female wheeler who can get it when she needs to. A lot of guys tried that day......and failed.

That was a good day with it being bone dry there was no traction issues.... just me losing it like 4 times ont he left line due to stalling it cause I was babyin the D35 on that. Good trip though Charlie, lets get out again soon for something... maybe Sunflower again or something.

I finally made it up the hill on my test track in the grocery getter the other night, pretty sure it was due to the increased traction of my specially formulated "sticky" compound tire/rim combo.

I dont have a winch, but a toe strap helped through the last obstacle. Racing up seems kinda crazy, but it honestly wasnt too hard for me to make it to that point. Maybe about 8 to 10 minutes to get up. And yes as of now a cage and harness seems like a good investment for me.

Details details, I don't recall any of that part...that was pretty cool though having Uriel drive up next to me so I could drive over his tire to get unstuck, that was a great idea Andrew.
