We went on an easy trip today to let my oldest son get some more driving time. CK seemed an ideal opportunity for him. Hey, a little rain would keep the dust down. Got pretty interesting!

It was snowing so hard on the way back down after lunch that we were sliding off everything. Something easy like a shelf road turned into a big challenge with a couple inches of the white stuff on the trail and poor visibility... just a drop off into nothing! :aagh:

That looked like it was fun!!! I wanted to do a snow run but i dont think i have time now that Im back to work agian

Looks great! They need all the snow they could get.

What do you think the air temp was in CK? Mid 30's?

We went up and stayed in the cabins on Sat night..We had a Blast and a pleasant Surprise of Snow in the morning..

Mid thirties is probably a pretty good guess. We had jackets and gloves but it was still pretty chilly!

Snow was sticking all the way down to the National Forest entrance. I was too busy driving down but I wish I could have gotten a picture of that entire valley all white. It was VERY impressive when it stopped snowing for a few minutes!

No it is the road that goes from Lake Pleasant to Crown King up the Bradshaws. See the trail description on the Moderate Trails page.
