Trip report:We started promptly and headed to the trail and aired down at 9:00AM. There was plenty of streams flowing at a low speed and the flowers and the green mountains were at full bloom. The trip was uneventful until we hit the big steep rock filled hill....SNOW! No real carnage just a little off-camber action! Through out the rest of the trail there was plenty of wash outs and off camber rocks to play on. After lunch the Crd was experiencing electrical problems and Randy and a few others turned around and headed back. Knowing we could catch up later Skeeter and I decided to press on and finish the trail. At the end there was a fenced off cabin, part of it was burned down from the fire a few years ago. To our surprise there were items left behind by the few vistors that passed by. Of coarse me and skeeter left some things behind.
It was time to get home and we headed out at a good pace and we came accross the rest of the group and the rubicon Crd was toast. So me and skeeter gave the guys a ride back to the main road and waited for Tantjjim the trail repair expert to try his hand on getting this electrical gremlin fixed. About hour later Jim called and gues what? He fixed it and Randy and Jim were on their way back home.
Thanks to everyone who showed...
Special Thanks to Jim for driving 2 hrs out of his way to help a complete stranger....Better known as Rmark.
