Because everyone likes looking at pics I thought I'd post some of these up.
With my truck down I grabbed a seat with Westy and headed out to do a trail with them. Not one I would take mine on although Jon in his 3rd gen did amazingly. Just walked up everything except the water fall.

We met up nice and early in Superior.

A few hours later we were at the trail head. Some yota troubles on the way to the meeting spot for one truck.

Same poor 4runner got a flat about a mile into the trail. Rock jumped up and got em!

Yep. I rode in westy's truck. We were the first to go. It took a couple tries, but we made it in a fog of smoke. Not so much tire smoke, but a combination from the motor and tires. Hell of a ride. The only other truck that made it up no problem was Steve yota-jeep buggy.

Its out past Superior. Really a short, but scenic trail. To climb that waterfall on the right side is all about wheelbase. Too short and flipping back is too easy. The left side was a little easier in that sense, but slicker than snot with the water flowing.
Lots of fun.

Here are a couple of good shots from another camera.
The tacoma shot shows how close to falling off he was. OUCH!
You can see a little oil must have found its way into the combustion chamber for Westy and I. It was a smokey ride up.

Nice work Tim. Photos are great.

...and Rich when you decide to get back out there and get some revenge on that trail let me know - I'm in for another trip with you guys!

Thats a great action shot he got with the smoke. After the first couple attemps only making it halfway I had to get after it. I thought for sure the front end was going to come up but the front end grabbed alot I could tell when I was trying to steer it away from the canyon wall, I gave it alot of skinny pedal that time!

I don't want to take ALL of the credit, BUT I think the one of the major reasons we made it up that fall was because I grabbed onto the OH SH@t handle and leveraged the truck up. :fashizzle:
Haha. It was a great ride. As much fun as my first time in a trophy truck.

It's not that bad, maybe a 4.5, a solid 4.0 for sure..........

Winch required, lockers, 35"+, body damage likely, low gearing/4:1 is a bonus...........

I would agree although Jon, with the white IFS 4runner, managed no body damage and only needed a tug up the water fall.
He is running 33's, sliders, front and rear lockers, skid plates, and a 2 or so inch lift.

I wouldn't try that though with the same set-up! I'd say 35's too!

It stopped putting power to wheels every time it it a 45 degree angle. Other than that he did great. I can tell he was excited to be back out on the trail.
