So wondering the difficulty of converting a 91yj 5 speed to auto. Tried a search but wasn't too successful.
Wife doesn't like the stick, ( I do, maybe oughta just buy her another jeep)
Anyway, anyone do this? Difficulty, parts, ( am pretty good at wrenching)

I have done, and had a professional do a swap to an auto tranny.
That being said it is usually a better idea (particullary with a newer vehicle) as to time, reliability, and money to sell your stick jeep and buy one with an auto.
And that being said I am currently having a TH350 swapped into my Willys.
Are they still doing the life time warranty on new ones?
If you get a separate Jeep for her I would suggest an XJ with 4.0 liter 4 doors and the auto tranny. More room for stuff and tows up to 5000 pounds.
You could even mod yours out to a trailer queen and have her tow you!!!!

Tranny Conversions are easy! Just need a wig, some fishnet stockings, borrow a dress...

I agree, just buy her one with an auto tranny unless you are really attatched.
