You should have a Dana 30 reverse cut gearing, do you have the 4.56's in already if so then it should be a 3.73 and up carrier. Little more info would help

If it is the stock D30 then it IS reverse cut, does it already have the 4.56 in or does it have the stock gears? If it has the stock gears it is more than likely 3.55 with a 3.73 and down carrier. Is this the stock axle the came with your XJ?

no the 4.56 gears were in it the pinion is still in it the ring gear and carrier are out im pretty sure its not the original front end because there is no vacuum disconnect on it at all
