i went to discount to pick up my spare wheel and have the tire i got from terron greg mounted.
they wont mount my tire due to the fact it has 3 plugs and about 5-10% tread. too much of a liability.
my question is
where and who would be able to mount this? any sponsors that would do it and what would it cost?
Thanx!

Also the "el mexicano" shops around Broadway and Central are always cheap and will mount ANYTHING.

Not really a liability as a spare, just don't DD that tire.

It is liability when you get flat wheeling and you have to drive on the freeway at 70mph to get home. You should spend the money and get one without sidewall plugs. There is a price to put on saving you life and I think the 100 dollars for decent spare is very resonable when you are able to drive home from where ever you get your flat. For what we do it is just mater of time before you get flat.

Will you mount a 37-12.50-17 on a 17x7 rim? Discount said the rim was too narrow. A full size spare for my tow rig.

Yet they will mount a 8" wide tire on a 10" wide rim with a huge amount of offset!
I can't stand dealing with the boobs at Discount.
Jpeeezy,
If you need a tire mounted just as a spare do it yourself. A couple of prybars and some elbow grease goes a long way.

I did not see anytihing mentioned about sidewall plugs, TRLR8DTJ, maybe you know the tire mentioned, But I do agree with a quality proper sized spare.
YELLOW X , nice to see another Seahawks fan! I think that makes 3 of us on this site now. WashingtonXJ is also a fan. Though I have not seen him post in awhile. Where you at Xan?
