I'm really hoping to camp that weekend, but it's not looking promising as people are bailing faster then they are committing, so I may join.

Would LT be on the list?

terron gregg
03-06-2008, 09:15 AM

Duality
03-06-2008, 09:21 AM
I know a few trails out there.

RD, LT, and predator. Dont count on me being a leader though as I will probably get stuck the most, and am still hopefully camping that weekend.

I would be willing to meet as early as 9AM.

I don't want to get up at 7am on a saturday.

I say this because it looks as though most likely my camping trip will be cancelled. I will know for sure by like 2pm today. I know Raw Deal, and how to get to both Lower Terminator and Predator, but have only run Raw Deal. We can figure them out though!

I may be able to make this... will know more today. I have run Predator, Lower Terminator and Judgement Day. I can get through OK but hope someone can teach better lines than I took!

If I follow the thread correctly Table Mesa airdown this Saturday at 8AM...

You do realize that I17 will be closed at Carefree highway this weekend don't you? At least this is the announcement I got on another group. Checking the link provided didn't yield any information so you may want to check later in the week.

I-17 Closed This Weekend at Carefree Highway

Traveler Alert: Drivers urged to plan for extra travel time this
weekend while Interstate 17 is closed at Carefree Highway (State Route
74) for bridge demolition work.

Construction crews will tear down the old Carefree Highway bridge over
I-17 to make room for a new, wider bridge already under construction
as well as additional lanes on I-17. The bridge project is one part
of a multi-year I-17 improvement effort by ADOT and the Federal
Highway Administration.

To ensure the safety of the traveling public during the bridge
demolition, I-17 will be closed at Carefree Highway from 10 p.m.
Friday to 5 a.m. Monday (March 17). I-17 drivers will be detoured
along the exit and entrance ramps at the Carefree Highway interchange.

Traffic signals will be adjusted to allow freeway traffic to travel
along the interchange ramps as quickly as possible. Arizona Department
of Public Safety officers will be on-site to help keep traffic moving
through the intersection. Drivers are encouraged to consider alternate
routes when possible and should expect heavy delays approaching the
construction area.

Closure information will be available by calling 5-1-1, visiting
www.az511.gov or calling our construction hotline 480.890.3055.

I was considering going, but with an hour drive from east Mesa, and now construction, I think I'll have to pass. Still looking though.
