Howdy! I live in Sedona, and I am going to the Fountain Hills Arts
Festival. Sedona is expecting nasty weather this weekend, including
a forecast for snow to 3000 ft. (Sedona is at 4500). And,
unfortuneately, there are no events scheduled here from now until
March, except for the Lights at Los Abrigados starting Thanksgiving.
If you do come, stop in the office of A Day in the West (yellow
Jeeps) and say hi to the girls - they will be bored to death today!
Happy trails!

Hi Darren,
There are certain things in life that need to be said... regardless of
whether they alienate people.
Since it is unlikely that any further public discussion will lead to
anything productive, let's keep it offline.
For those who I offended... shoot me a letter and let me know; I'd be happy
to discuss it with you.
Oh... and for the record... while I may personally be embarrassed FOR
someone in the group who subscribes to the thoughts espoused in the letter
Bill posted, I am not embarrassed to BE ASSOCIATED with anyone in this group
(well.. except maybe for Chris Krieg when he torches his socks <grin>)...
there is a big difference between the two. I believe I try to go the extra
mile for people in this group... and while they may disagree with my
opinions, hopefully they understand that none of this matters when it comes
to Jeeping... It is very easy for me to like people I frequently disagree
with... Bill, Ross, Scott and others may not agree with my views but I would
help them out anyway I could if they ever got in a bind or if they needed
anything.
Perhaps I'll see you at the coves and we can talk about JEEPS!!!
<grin>
Kind Regards,
Joe

If it makes you feel better to be embarrassed for me, then so be it.
Your ability to use complex words in your diatribes does not make your
opinions any more or less rubbish than those of the next person. The
fact that you feel you must insult those with differing opinions
indicates to me that you really need to live a few more lives to "get
it", as you put it. I respect your opinions, but I don't feel I have to
insult you to get my point across.
To be clear, I am not personally offended by any of your posts. But
others might be. You have insinuated that those who do not prescribe to
your way of thinking are small-minded, idiotic, racist, single-celled
organisms with a small intellect who you are embarrassed to be
associated with. Since most people in this group (and in real life) do
have differing opinions, you are doing a good job at insulting and
alienating a lot of people.
regards,
darren

It is times like these that I realize how great our community really is.

Howdy! I live in Sedona, and I am going to the Fountain Hills Arts

a forecast for snow to 3000 ft. (Sedona is at 4500). And,
unfortuneately, there are no events scheduled here from now until
March, except for the Lights at Los Abrigados starting Thanksgiving.
If you do come, stop in the office of A Day in the West (yellow

Happy trails!

Ahhhh, but did you ask the "big" question. Will the compound, ply rating,
etc., be the same in the retail version and the comp. versions. I bet not :(

Subject: Coves Clean-up After the run
Thanks to Mike Baney for the t-shirts and all the door prizes. Big thanks
to Randy Siade and Gloria (Gloria ran the cooking and did a nice job) for
setting this up and organizing the run. We picked up a lot of trash the
Forest Service will need to make a return trip to get all the bags still in
coves one and three. I had a great time and as usual it was nice seeing
everyone. Stu glad to hear your daughter is home and doing well and I like
your new Jeep dog. Looking forward to the Table Mesa clean-up in Jan.??? Jim

As far as certification goes... I'd be happy to certify you (and the
missus?). I've got a class I need to put together for some other Jeepers...
want to sit in?
If you'd like, you could stay at my place for the weekend during the class.

Pissing in the old karma corn flakes again Joe?
Like it or not, "progressive" thinking will get us all dead and gone right
now. It is a luxury we can not afford.
You know I do not espouse stupidity and small minded thinking but this stuff
is definitely an indicator of bigger things to come.
I missed most of it but I will stand by you to Joe...just ask.
Hey, I may need to get certified for a trip to Belize in March...any
suggestions Joe?

Hi Darren,
There are certain things in life that need to be said... regardless of
whether they alienate people.
<grin>

Since most people in this group (and in real life) do
have differing opinions, you are doing a good job at insulting and
alienating a lot of people.
regards,
darren

I just wanted to thank everyone that dropped a note or passed on a get
well comment for our daughter. She is doing better. We were able to
check her out of the hospital late yesterday afternoon. Mom finally got
a good night's sleep (lots of worrying going on) too.
It is times like these that I realize how great our community really is.
There's nothing like having a BIG extended family that drives Jeeps!
Thanks again for your thoughts. I know it had to have helped. :)

I wanted to thank everyone who took time out of their busy weekend to help with the clean up. I was proud to see all those bags piled up on the shore, waiting for the USFS barge to come pick them up. Likewise, it was even better when they had to make a return trip to pick up the bags that came in a bit later.
Likewise, a big round of applause (or was the applesauce) to everyone who helped make today happen&.name tags, trash bags, raffle prizes, lunch&&thanks to one and all that helped in these areas and anything else I may have forgotten.
The weather was great and so were all the folks that attended.
Thanks again!
