I am sure I am the first one up this morning. We didn't get off the trail until 10:30 PM. Started out with lots of mud and water, and more mud. It turned out to be a good, tough day wheeling, but was interspersed with LOTS of carnage. I think there were 4 tires destroyed(1 Xterrain, 1 TSL SX, 2 Irocs), a broken axle u-joint(which took out the ears on a set of Alloy USA chromos), a rear yoke, a fuse that killed my rigs starter, a steering shaft............and a skull. Mike(Desertdawg, who used to be a member here) took a very scary header off a waterfall, and went all the way to the bottom. Slick rocks and water do not go well together. He got a nasty gash on his forehead, which luckily, could have been a LOT worse. Got the bleeding stopped, and some butterfly bandages and a big *** bandaid kept us rolling. I actually had a great time, as the water made the trail "challenging"(AKA hard as hell). I still stand by my observations........MTRs SUCK when they are wet(sorry guys). And I sure hope Mike(Desertdawg) goes and gets stiches this morning. Sorry, no pics, as my camera(#3) is broken. Happy Birthday Charlie.

Happy B-Day Charlie!

Good run guys, a long day.

Lance, thanks for the scarfs and beene! It was a cold ride home.

Rich, thanks for getting dirty and helping me change out the axle.

Hope Mike is ok.

Again, like last week, it was nice to go on a run with some well equipped guys(even though we had a few unexpected breaks), who are knowledgable enough to get themselves off the trail without calling in the cavalry. We could have been out there all night if not for that, and who else would have been equipped enough to come out, in the middle of the night, with a rig capable of making the trail, and the skills to get it done? Most of us were already out there. I know there are a few, but not many. Thanks for a good run guys. So..............what are we running next week???

Liar! Blasphemer! No pics, it never happened. Did someone in your group(a lady in a pink shirt) hike up to the top to call a babysitter that they would be late? We heard about it from "Uncle Jed".

The last pic is mere seconds before Mike took his header off the fall, I bailed off that ledge so fast, Jack said it looked like "A spider monkey after the last banana in the tree fell to the ground!" When I said,"OH ****!", Charlie thought he broke someting! Good pics Robert, thanks.

You are correct, the first trail we ran was X. I've been badgering my copilot today for pics and he hasn't posted them yet. He said he got upwards of 400 pics! So hopefully he got some good ones.

So has anyone talked to Mike today to see how he is doing? To be honest I was kind of worried about the header he took. Lance was on him like a fly on sh*t, and I tried to hang myself in my seat belt trying to get out and help him (mental note to always remember when you put your seatbelt on and not to try to jump out of rig before removing it. :D) It was definitely an interesting day to say the least. :D Probably the most carnage I've seen on one single trail yet. :D

Glad you have a good time Charlie. :D

Mike's head carnage reminded me that I need to get a new first aid kit in my rig. I realized I have hundreds of pounds of tools and spares. Spare steel if I needed to make a new bracket on the trail.... ability to weld both stick and MIG, enough rigging/recovery equipment to unstuck a tank, and about anything else I'd ever need to get the Jeep up and running on the trail... but ask me for a single solitary band aid and I'm afraid I couldn't help you out. My last first aid kit was never used and when it got water logged I kept procrastinating replacing it until I forgot all together. So this is now a very painful reminder that I need to get a new one.

This was the first time I've had to use the first aid kit on the trail. The first aid kit I had I bought at Costco for $20. It's a good kit but it didn't have the butterflys we needed to keep Mikes head from bleeding. I plan to replace the one I have now with a better kit this week.

I thought it was a great idea for Lance to give Mike some of his Viagra to keep the blood from rushing to his noggin. ;) No Lance, we don't believe that those were Aleve tablets.
