Randy, nice job net control tonight. Thanks for all your efforts in getting this started. As more folks learn about this, 45 min might not be enough time. Just a thought....... I don't know if we are limited to how long we are on.

Great job guys!
We had 7 check ins, not bad at all for the first time and short notice.
It will be interesting to see where this leads.

Brad, How did I know you were going to be listening? LOL

John, We dont have a firm time limit but an hour max is what the ARA would like.

Mike, you need to get some repeaters in memory and you will be good.

Benber, If you have a scanner you can tune to the frequencies listed above to listen in or better yet get a ham license and you can join in the fun!

Awesome job tonight Randy! I think you got to shine tonight for all the hard work that you have done and did to get the net on the air. It was good to hear all the check-ins, all the stories were great!

Good job Randy. It's cool to see this net take off and be part of it.

I'm testing for General on Monday night and I think 3 other Jeepers I know will be there taking the Technician test.

Sorry I missed it guys, sounds like a good time was had by all.

Amber, start studying for your technician license and you'll be on your way. You can find study guides at Ham Radio Outlet in north Phoenix (19th Ave/Dunlap). I know Radio Shack used to carry them as well but I doubt you'll find them there anymore. Then there are plenty of practice tests available on the internet so you can test your knowledge until you feel comfortable enough to take the real thing.

Good job on the Net control Randy!
I was there at the start but my radio (Yeasu 8800) decided not to enc the PL tone and I had to re-set it a few times till it started behaving.

I sometimes talk on the 2100 net (Mt. Ord repeater) SO I tried to use the 146.92 and it was suprisingly weak, but the 147.24 was a full copy, Also listend on the 147.84 and was able to pick up 1-2 people on that but dont remember who they were.
Again good job and I look forward to next Wed.

Good luck to everyone testing Mon night. Looks like I'll need to start studying for my General soon although I'm having a blast just learning the "easy" stuff.

Amber, if you are interested I have the most recent study books that you are welcome to borrow if you're interested.

Sorry I didn't make it, I checked the board at about 8:30 and saw it was happening, but I would have only been able to listen since my amp is still not hooked up. My transmit would have been bad on just 5W. Glad to see it happened, thank you for setting this up.
