Joe and I practically live there. We have been up there probably 6 times in the last month. Have some pics of the snow and the trail. Joe made it up the back way with his Jeep having just a back locker and 2 wheel drive. :) We met up with a couple guys one of the days and tooled up with them. The snowman pics are from a group we ran into one day and another day we had went up we met with Mudd and BaronVonRoot. All the people we have met are members of the Jeep Club. Some just dont post alot. We have beent here so much that the owner of the mill ..Mike. is now trying to sell us property. haha, anyways, Just thought Id post some pics. These were taken within the last 3 weeks.

Yes we camped.. haha.. I slept maybe ..3 hours with my gun under my pillow.. Joe said are you scared of the animals?.. I said animals dont scare me, IM SCARED OF THE PEOPLE! haha.. I hate camping unless its with a group. In the first pics where the chimney pic is.. thats where we had our camp and had our campfire in the chimney. Do you remember seeing that when we went up together that day? Its on the left side on the back way up to CrownK. It was cool.

I've probably been to crown king 70 times over the years on/in just about anything but my Jeep. ;) Now that I have soft doors I'm actually intrigued by your pics and am for the first time seriously considering taking the Jeep up there... I doubt there's any snow anywhere around there now at this very moment so I might wait to see if we get some weather in the upcoming month or so. I've always liked running Crown King with a bit of snow towards the top.

Its really an awesome trail. I think its the perfect length, different terrain along the way. and you can go grab a beer and a bite to eat at the end and check out the town. Lots of history. Lots of good people. Im not a snow person but Joe is. It was snowing when we were there and I was trying to hurry and eat .. I kept saying.. "Are we gonna make it out of here?" Joe was just laughing at me. He is From Conneticut.

Is that stone fireplace where you camped below Ora Belle? If it is, I think its the remains of a ranch house named Fort Misery or the "White House" as some people called it.

There is a picture of the building on page 63 of Bruce Wilsons history of the Bradshaws. The building was destroyed by fire a few years ago

This area is alot of fun when there is some weather. I go up so much, my tent and cot have been set up and left there since October. You wont find it though, hidden real good way back in the forest, I have fire wood all cut and ready for each time I arrive, just start it up when I get there.
The people in the bar are always a blast, they have alot of fun dancing and singing kareoke.
I was up there a couple weeks ago when we had all that rain, had to go back and look for friends who didnt make it home. Found them just below the airport on the other side of a 50' wide river. We had quite a time getting em over that last obstacle, but made it safely with the help of a new member I met there that day "azplas" he joined after this experience, and what a debt of gratitude I have for him.....thanks so much.

I will run this trail any time, any weather and look forward to seeing members out there who like to go rough in it camping.
