Makes it easy to run open exhaust with just a few bolts. Hot rod guys that drive their car/truck/hot rod to the track will open up there exhaust once they get there.

Barry(Heinz57) and I both take off our mufflers when we go to the dunes. But this is the hard way removing the muffler and bolting in a straight pipe. Little more power when removed.

so it basically just cuts off the muffler . but dont you want some back pressure

Depends on the motor.

so a well built v 8 would be ideal for this not the little v6 in the jeeps

it is good for big blocks, or high hp small blocks. for when you want to open up the power at the strip, and keep it legal on the street.

oh and i fixed it

ok,ok my bad. v6 too. i forgot about turbo cars and stuff. you dont need cutouts for a liberty or a v6 cherokee.

i honestly don't know when you'd really need that extra 10hp unless running in a timed event... aka drag strip... then, the 3/100ths would be noticiable, IF you were a very consistant driver.
Basically, they are attention get'n noise makers.

at the dunes it helps, sometimes that extra bit of horsepower is the difference between hitting the top, and having to back down in the sand. just because the sand saps so much power. speaking of which, I need to finish my motor and get out to the dunes soon
