Poly mount at 4 Wheel Supply on Washington. $44.00. Dealer item started at a bout $70.00! I have a used rubber one if anyone needs it. It was given to me and I used for about 2 weeks before getting the poly one.

Can someone confirm what the auto parts stores (checker/auto zone/napa) are saying about the transmission mount on my 00 TJ (5pd/4.0L) being a dealer item?

I know there are poly aftermarket ones available, but I have heard those give off some vibes, opinions?

So my friend got the okay from his wife to put on his suspension
for his TJ. So we have been wrenchin on it since 10:30 w/hour or so
rain delay. Before the rain hit we had finished the front. So far so
good.So now we are starting on the rear. I jack up the rear put the
stands under and to my suprise I find plastic sway bar
exstentions.WHAT IS UP WITH THAT?.Those bar pins for the shocks that
has got to be the biggest mistake that DC has made. I have to laugh
at the plastic parts on a suspension component.Trying to save some
money I see.The install is not really that bad.If this was an install
on a YJ we would already be on the trails testing.

Spook was a blast! Thanks to Nasser and his fellow Arizona Rough Riders. Even with the ominous clouds and torrential down pours we left at 6:42. It was the most fun I think I have had with my family in one evening. We got scared out of our skin, lost (once) and trivial challenged with the clue sheets. Good thing my wife has a Masters and great navigational skills, or we might have ended up in Crown King. <grin>

The Spook Rally was by far one of the best 4x4 events I have ever been too. Its nice to see a club who can run a show as complicated as this was and do it well. Many, many thanks got the Arizona Rough Riders and some of the sponsering clubs that helped. (forgive me for not remembering). Alot ofextra hard work went into this that many will never know. Great Show! Will be back for sure next year.

It was also nice to get a chance to hang out with some other AZVJC'ers. Scott Maiden, Bill Mish, and Neal Han****. (Interesting crowd, I assure you. Learned some new words from them..) I saw some other AZ stickers too, Allison (I think) with the Maroon TJ and a gold Cherokee (2001) which belongs to Jack.

Thanks to all again, had a blast....

Best Regards...

Assuming locked axles.

Does it really matter if:

A wheel is hanging in the air because the axle will not articulate:

Or that same wheel is falling down to the rock under it with only the axle's own weight to provide a basis for traction and push.

This is a serious question. I drive a CJ that could win the stiffest jeep of the club award. I wonder what the difference is between a wheel in the air and a wheel drooping to the ground when the wheel in the air will not spin?

Someone please tell me if flex is more than just cool.
