I've been using a Garmin eTrex Venture for navigation and geocaching
and really like it. They're inexpensive ($170) and track very well
from inside our YJ with the top and doors on (we even have an
overhead cb rack). I do like the new Magellans. Costco up here in
Phoenix is selling some model for around $250 and whatever model that
is has expandable memory options and integrated maps, much better
than the Venture.
Whatever you pick, you'll probably want to find a way to mount it in
your Jeep. Here's one way:

We use a RAM mount and have a base on each side so either the
passenger or driver can navigate.

The scrambler, has a totaly different roll bar(angle of vertical bars)

the only otion we have seen is to get the saw:0(.

Hey guys,
Just want a quick opinion on what you think would be
easier. I have to pull the cam out of my 97 wrangler
sahara (again). Should I go with the full removal of
the powerplant or will I be saving alot of busted
knuckles and headaches if I just remove the front end.
It looks like it is just a couple of bolts. Does
anyone have the pages from a manual for the front end
removal.
Last year when I had the engine out for a rebuild it
took about 6 tries and 4 hours to get it back in.
ughh...
Thanks,
Brian

trip report
thought it was going to rain on our parade but didn't drop till on our way out- were able to do 50+ bumper to bumper with NO dust.
went up BOX, through JACK HANDLE and then through MARTINEZ.
david led us up through JACK and showed how well a near stock TJ can perform.
ben took his bone-stock, open diffed 97 TJ all the way to the cabins. we did have to winch him up a portion of JACK. he jumped in with scott for martinez. we hooked up with the XJ group and brought up the rear.
derek is no longer a florence area VIRGIN. traci and william stuck it out........well except for the luge by-pass? can't blame 'em for that. my shorts were wet the first time i did it.
scott is fine tuning his kluneV etiquette. he has now mastered the art of taking pics while not driving. the crawl ratio is awesome.
was nice to see no TOYOTAS today.

I,m looking for a couple pieces to fix a carbecued 93 GC. I need the
fuel rails connected to the injectors, but probably not including
the injectors. And the airfilter assembly all the up. I don't even
need the box for the filter, just the hose. I also need a set of
wires that sits by the distributor. Any help is much appreciated.

I think that my add gets kind of lost in the general jeep section so I am listing it here also since it is for a TJ lift. This lift is new in boxes and ready to be picked up in Gilbert. This is a big savings to locals since there is no tax or shipping charges.

My brother bought a half hard top off of a 84 scrambler. He wants to mount
it to his 86 cj7. We have seen this done before, but when we did see this,
we didnt pay close enough attention, or forgot how it was done, by the time
we came across the half hard top.
The scrambler, has a totaly different roll bar(angle of vertical bars)
compared to the cj...plus the spacing in where it sits in the tub. So far
the only otion we have seen is to get the saw:0(.
thanks

solution is clean, drain it into a clean container for reuse.
3. Remove the radiator or radiator and condenser, if equipped with
A/C.
4. Remove the distributor cap and mark the position of the rotor.
5. Remove the distributor and ignition wires.
6. Remove the engine cylinder head cover.

INSTALLATION
1. Inspect the cam lobes for wear.
2. Inspect the bearing journals for uneven wear pattern or finish.
3. Inspect the bearings for wear.
4. Inspect the distributor drive gear for wear.
5. If the camshaft appears to have been rubbing against the timing
case cover, examine the oil pressure relief holes in the rear cam
journal. The oil pressure relief holes must be free of debris.
6. Lubricate the camshaft with Mopar Engine Oil Supplement, or
equivalent.
7. Carefully install the camshaft to prevent damage to the camshaft
bearings.

equivalent. The Mopar Engine Oil Supplement, or equivalent must remain
with the engine oil for at least 1609 km (1,000 miles). The oil
supplement need not be drained until the next scheduled oil change.

equipped. CAUTION: Both service valves must be opened before the air
conditioning system is operated.

Hey guys,
Just want a quick opinion on what you think would be
easier. I have to pull the cam out of my 97 wrangler
sahara (again). Should I go with the full removal of
the powerplant or will I be saving alot of busted
knuckles and headaches if I just remove the front end.
It looks like it is just a couple of bolts. Does
anyone have the pages from a manual for the front end
removal.
Last year when I had the engine out for a rebuild it
took about 6 tries and 4 hours to get it back in.
ughh...
Thanks,
Brian

Spoken by a man that owns a Corvair I don't know what that means. Is a
Pinto the Corvair of the Ford world? A Gremlin the Corvair of the AMC
world? A Plymouth Reliant the Corvair of the Chrysler world? ;)
By the way, when the heck are you ever going to paint that thing and
take me for a ride? BTW, I think it would look pretty cool in purple. :D

Subject: [TR] Trip Report - Box Canyon - Saturday, October 26, 2002
Hello All,
steve sample lead a trail run Saturday, October 26, 2002 across Box Canyon
trip report
thought it was going to rain on our parade but didn't drop till on our way out- were able to do 50+ bumper to bumper with NO dust.
went up BOX, through JACK HANDLE and then through MARTINEZ.
david led us up through JACK and showed how well a near stock TJ can perform.
ben took his bone-stock, open diffed 97 TJ all the way to the cabins. we did have to winch him up a portion of JACK. he jumped in with scott for martinez. we hooked up with the XJ group and brought up the rear.
derek is no longer a florence area VIRGIN. traci and william stuck it out........well except for the luge by-pass? can't blame 'em for that. my shorts were wet the first time i did it.
scott is fine tuning his kluneV etiquette. he has now mastered the art of taking pics while not driving. the crawl ratio is awesome.
was nice to see no TOYOTAS today.
JEEPS RULE THE ROCKS

Where can I pick up a wheel stud for a Dana 44 on a Sunday?
I have tried Autozone, Pep Boys, and Checker. They all say it is a dealer

Wranglers, and Cherokee's, but they all say the same thing.
Thanks,
