Hi there,
I have been on this before and I know basically where it is. But can
someone reconfirm how to get to the trail head after you hit the
dirt road off 17?
Thanks

She's up in Colorado and just purchased a used TJ, '98 I believe,
with the 4.0L. She noticed the exhaust manifold is cracked and is
being quoted nearly $1200 for replacement/install. The work is
being quoted by a local 4x4 shop. Apparently (according to the 4x4
shop) the manifold has already repaired (welded) once before.

some info regarding Dealer replacement/repair of the manifold.

have had the repair done after 3/36 warranty expiration? Or maybe a
summary of what she should tell the dealer in order to get this
fixed? Is it really covered under the 7yr emissions system
warranty? Not to single you out again, but Joe West, haven't you
collected some info on this exact subject in the past?

Once you get to the dirt road, you will go about a mile or so, be looking on
the left... You will see a drop off, somewhat like a waterfall, and you will
see tire marks where people drive down the drop, this is the trail head to
raw deal... Follow that trail, untill you have a rock wall on your left, and
once you get to the end of the wall, you will make a 90 degree left turn,
which will put you at the beginning of the actual raw deal. Hope these
directions help ya...

I fully support enacting leash laws for cats just as we have for dogs. I know dogs can to damage and some are affraid of attacks, but cats crapping in my yard, digging up my yard to bury their crap, getting on my vehicles, driving my dog nuts so she tears up the window cills in the house causes damage too. I have also seen kids try to pick up or pet a cat running loose and get a pretty severe scratch.
Then again I have managed to train our neighborhood cats to stay out of my yard....

Unfortunately for him, he had just put new 33's on, dual Ox lockers, new

receipts, and had paid his insurance for extra coverage on these mods. His
insurance paid his Jeep off, and cut him a 5 digit check
I guess the moral of the story is to keep good records of your mods,

My Jeep has burglar alarm, but car thieves with guts can open some
vehicles' hoods and yank the wires to the alarm horn, if they are
quick, before it goes off.
So I ordered the 4Wheel Drive Hardware hood lock, (page 42 of their
catalog), $20.95. Was easy to install, no drilling (actually no tools
at all). Looks like it will slow crooks down considerably...(never
say "stop" them)

Hi Gang,
I have for sale or trade, a complete set of 4 Herman Miller office
Cubicles. The cubicles come with overhead storage (lockable), lights,
electrical hookups, drawers and filing cabinets. I have 8 additional side
walls in addition to the 4 complete desk setups and I have countless spare
parts. The cubicles are in great shape and were in a software developer's
office for their entire life. They would go great in a new business or even
in a home as a very nice home office setup.
I'm looking for an interesting trade.
I've seen the office furniture that Four Wheelers Supply has... Hey Barry...
ask your boss if he wants to upgrade his office work area with some very
nice cubicles in trade for a complete NV4500 setup for my TJ. <grin>
If anyone is interested, email me off list.

See Joe, and I thought that the foul fowl was why we have 7 yearolds with B.B. guns! Just make sure to teach the kids to shoot 'em so they fall OUTSIDE the yard. Double whammy... the neighborhood cats tend to eat the birds and thus stay outside the yard!

My Jeep has burglar alarm, but car thieves with guts can open some
vehicles' hoods and yank the wires to the alarm horn, if they are
quick, before it goes off.
So I ordered the 4Wheel Drive Hardware hood lock, (page 42 of their
catalog), $20.95. Was easy to install, no drilling (actually no tools
at all). Looks like it will slow crooks down considerably...(never
say "stop" them)

I still have the spare laying around my garage from when I had a 96
Explorer. If anyone wants it I'll let you have it for $5. It has 98%
tread on it and is the 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern. I might also have the
Haynes manual and an oil filter also. If interested I can check for

Hi Gang,
I have for sale or trade, a complete set of 4 Herman Miller office
<grin>
If anyone is interested, email me off list.

easier. I have to pull the cam out of my 97 wrangler

It looks like it is just a couple of bolts. Does
