I moved my lower rears to behind the lower control mounts, the back of my control arms are boxed with 1/4" plate

I cut off stock mount and just made new heaver duty ones and welded them in the correct position to those boxed plates

The main reason for this is to clear those mounts from the rocks but also to mount them in the proper no bind position, Mine were done by TXT, but I think Stu Olson has a write up on this, in this position the shocks are close to the frame when flexed but mine do not rub, the best way IMO is to also modify the top position when the lowers are in this position

also if you don't have upper bar pin eliminators get them

Any brand will do and you are correct in your assessment of their function.

I'll disagree. Some are beefier than others. The "cheap" ones on my dads Jeep tore very soon. He replaced them with Teraflex which you can tell are beefier just by looking at them.

Just go with the cheap one.

I would suggest that you skip them. Instead, just grind some clearance from the spring bucket and run them in the stock location.

This nonsense makes no sense.

Anyways, I notched out my coil bucket but still ended up with my shocks contacting them and I notched out alot, but my pinion angle is fairly high too.
