It runs Mar 15-23 this year. Got my registration newsletter last week, now I gotta pick trails and make motel reservations.

Anyone else going? Care to share your trail selection?

Thanks!

Is this your first time there?

I,ve been to EJS two times, '02 and '07, both times I signed up for trails and paid my fees and both times I ended up going on non organized trail runs with friends and locals, I dident plan this it just worked out that way, I feel its less structured and stressfull to do your own thing on your own time, to some people the organized thing is perfect for them. to each there own

I also just recieved my EJS paper last week, they are using new trail ratings system that goes up to 8 I think

It looks like you run with the big boys so I would pick the hardest trails you can, If your "large rig" has not been up there before you may want to ask around about some of the extreme trails that are very narrow like canyons for fitment

my goal is to make it this year, Jeep on a trailer but I may have to just do a ride along this year due to tight funds

What were your favorite trails? And what trails do you remember as possibly too narrow for a full-size rig?

I'm not looking to run the most intense trails all week -- I want to have fun, enjoy the scenery and make it back in one piece (no trailer queen here).

on trails, it's all good- but without knowing what your personal and viehicler limits are its hard for me to say (I've been with a group where one or more members were not crazy about heights! and that limited us on what trails we ran, I can't remember what runs are tight for a full size, but I know there are a few

someone else who knows the trails better could help on specific trails for you, call the Red Rock 4-wheelers club and tell them your wishes and plans

I find it hard to have fun on the trails when I know I have to try to drive it home long distances (or have it towed)
Localy, I drive my jeep to the trail, if you have the means to trailer it up there, do it- you can relax and take more in, on the other hand- if you have the money and time to take care of minor to major trail mishaps to get it back on the hi-way- there are great people and shops in Moab to get going again
