Quick question: Will a 8.25 out of a XJ swap into a YJ? I know the leafs are longer but that is alright. I want to stretch the wheelbase a little anyways. Are the perches the same width or is there a fairly easy remedy for this? I would like to upgrade my D35c to something stronger but I'm on a limited budget and hope this is doable. TIA, Steve

Why would you want the 27 spline 8.25''? The 27 spline isn't that much stronger IMO. Go with a 29 spline 8.25''.

Not that much stronger than a D35? My friend i thnk you dont really know what your talking about. I know people that run this same axle on 37's with a detroit locker! Never ONCE herd of someone snapping a shaft on one of these and ive ran this axle on my 35's with out a single problem and alloy shafts are only 85bucks a side only down fall of this axle i think is they dont offer any gears deeper than a 4.56
And not just jumping at ya cuz its my axle he is talking bout buying either.

Alright then I will just keep looking for something then. Right now I do have a d35c w/ 4.10s running 35s and figure it is only a matter of time. Thanks anyhow.
