Riddle me this. So, you know how the XJ's trani skid plate bolts up to the unibody? Well, I was under there the other day investigating my 4x4 shifter issue, when I saw a loose bolt on the skid/trani brace. So, I grabbed a wrench to tighten it. Well, figured out why it's loose, it's just stripped. I imagine it's stripped on the unibody side as I'm sure that's a much softer metal than the bolt.
So, what's the deal here? How is that fixed? Talk to me Goose!

Sorry dude, you still have me distracted with the subject line, "stripping"...

I Highly Doubt The Bolt/nut Is Striped!
I Willing To Bet The Welds To The Nut Inside The Unibody Broke Free.
I Would Check To See If There Is An Access Point From Inside The Vehicle To Weld On The Nut. Or Anywhere Around The Area.

Now that I got passed the "stripping" subject I have to agree with Adam. This is a common problem on TJ's as well... particularly on the 6 belly pan bolts.
