that is a Pretty gas tank... Anymore specifics Dave ???
As specific as it gets!! :D
This is the NEW Crawler™ COMP Gas Tank to fit a YJ (1987-1995). It is specifically designed for the guys who want to go all out on their rig! This gas tank/skid plate combo allows for more clearance between the gas tank and the rear axle so you can "stretch" the rear axle & suspension back up to 7" (or 6" with Dana 60)!
Gen-Right is the first to offer such a radical option for your Jeep Wrangler YJ. Now you can have the MAGIC 100+" wheelbase without cutting the frame and body!
TECH: A longer wheelbase is nescssary to keep the same height to length ratio for greater stability when on big tires ON & OFF road. Thus allowing you to use all your vehicles capability with low gearing and a big tire foot print on the ground.
FEATURES:
New lighter weight skid plate design (weights 13lbs less!)
Made from 1/8" thick Aluminum alloy and includes a matching heavy duty 3/16" thick steel skid plate
TIG Welded and CNC machined fittings
Special sump to trap gas at the fuel pick up and internal baffles reduce fuel movement
1" more ground clearance
15 gallon fuel capacity
Accepts all the stock Jeep fuel pump/pick up & sending unit
Re-uses the factory emmissions system and hoses (no check engine lights or other engine computer issues)
All tanks are 100% pressure tested
Skid Plate is powder coated black
Includes new factory Jeep vent valves & stainless steel straps
Patent Pending
IMPORTANT NOTES:
This tank is designed to accept the factory fuel pump or sender module from a '87-'95 Jeep Wrangler YJ equiped from the factory with a 20 gallon Plastic Tank (NOT the 15 metal tank found in a few model years).
Because of shape and location changes, installation of this product may require changes to the exhaust tail pipe.
Requires drilling two new holes to mount this product in the vehicle (but includes mounting hardware).

Is this the 17 gallon one?
Is the 20gal still on sale? I know the 20 does not allow for rearward movement of the axle but I could use the extra 5 gallons for long excursions.

Wow, that's pretty darn cool. I'd like to have something like that for a TJ. I'm debating on just sinking my floor in a bit for the fuel cell when I stretch my TJ... I want to try to maximize the space inside the tub for tools/spares.

That's very very interesting Dave... Can you PM me a price? I assume that this tank mounts in the stock position then? Just leaves more room for the axle to travel up? If this is the case I could keep my existing seat which is very appealing to me.
