Went to Tortilla Flat on Sunday. It was a little chilly in the AM but warmed up later. I ended up putting about 200 miles on because of zigzagging through PHX and Mesa meeting up w/different people at different places. I took a 60 mi. route from Peoria to Mesa. This is a crappy pic but I couldn't get the sun to move.

It was the first day the band was there for the season. They will be there all winter. We had $9 burgers(but they were damn good), a $3.50 can of Corona w/lime (yes, I said can ), and some ice cream.

We stopped at Goldfield ghost town on the way back. Pretty cool place. Watched the shootout but didn't really check the whole place out.

About 1/2 the group went home when we got to Goldfield. The rest of us went to the Billet Bar in Scottsdale on the way back. It was about a 10 hr day for me. My Road King was leaking gas from the vac diaphram in the fuel selector. I couldn't get the parts Sunday morning so I had to take my Suzuki Savage on the ride. Riding 2up w/my wife for 200 mi. on that little bike was definitely a butt killer for both of us. We had a great time but I don't think she will ride that far on the Savage again. The good thing is, if I need parts for the Harley, I will get no argument from her. :drummer:

Nice, very nice..... I miss the scooter runs, haven't been on any for a year now. Hey ever do Sturgis? It's worth it !!

I will go to Sturgis when the kids are a older. I don't have any family close to leave them with. My sister may be moving to San Diego soon. If that happens, I may be able to work something out to go out there for a week or so. My parents have talked about moving to Colorado also. If that happens, it's on. That's the cool thing about Jeeps. All four of us can ride at the same time.

I really like riding tortilla flats, especially when I can get early enough to beat all the traffic, and the restaurant is awesome

Hit up Tortilla Flat last weekend (1-20-08). It's quickly becoming my favorite quick getaway ride. Too bad for the traffic but in all honesty, it keeps me going slow and out of harms way. Some of those corners can be a bit hairy if you don't know the road. Someday I will though, hehe.

My Suzuki Bandit among other things:

Good times out there. Next big ride, when it warms up, Mt. Lemmon in Tucson. That road is fantastic (I hardly ever use that word)
