What I did is, I bought a rectangular fatigue mat for 30 bucks from Price
Costco
(these are dark green/brown and have hexagonal holes). There's enough
mat to cut a floor mat for the driver's side, the passenger's side, and the
back
of the jeep, with or without a back seat. And they don't slide around
like those black after-market mats do.

Hello All,

Jay Eller is leading a Table Mesa Area trail run on Sunday, September 1, 2002.

When: Meet at meeting spot at 6:30 am

Hit Table Mesa parking lot around 7:00 am.
Where: We're going to meet in front of Toybox Offroad shop at 6:30am. Shop is located north of Deer Valley road on 23rd avenue. 22010 N. 23rd Avenue.
Rating: 2.0+
Length: 7am
CB Channel:

Couple of us want to get our newly modified rigs out for a shake down and want to meet others in the group for a fun trip. Will probably hit trails like Terminator and Predator. Annihilator possible if all holds together. Would love to have all that would like to come.

There are a number of trails in this area; some of the most difficult trails in Arizona can be found here. There are also moderate and easy trails to be found. There are also ghost towns and old mines to explore in this area.

Here is an incomplete list of trails that may be found.

Oh, also, no mat is gonna keep mud from getting on yer carpets, so I trashed
the carpets and had the entire inside of the jeep Inyati'ed. (That was the
expensive part.) The fatigue mats were the inexpensive part. =)

Inyati does a good job, but make SURE that the inside of your jeep is
spotless.
They commented that they had never seen a cleaner inside of a tub than my
jeep. I spent several hours getting the grease and mud and dirt out of every
nook and cranny and cleaning all the surfaces with various solvents and
isopropanol.

The NV4500 is a very nice shifting transmission. I have been driving
Steve's Scout for the last week and I like it much better than the NP435
in the Powerwagon. Both are set up with hydrualic clutches. I think it's
the 5th gear in the NV4500 which makes it just a little nicer. I do like
the automatic (AW-4 Toyota truck transmission) in the ZJ for 4-wheeling
and every day driving. The wagon will be getting an automatic.

For all you out there that still have your TJ springs in the garage,

which color tags go with the model TJs. Some will have a green tag
and some have a red tag attached to the springs (I'm just looking
for the front) Can a few of you guys with sports, saharas, and SEs
look at your tag and let me know what model you have and what tag
color is on your front springs? I have a Sport with green tags. I'm
thinking green tags are sport and sahara springs and the red tags
are for SEs. Thanks -Rob

Hello all,

I've not yet gotten to BofA to open the acct, but my PayPal acct online
sure is growing. So far we have over $110.00 donated by generous,
caring
individuals.

I figure if the club can organize to help an entire community that it
doesn't even know (fire run), we SHOULD be able to collect enough to
help
one of our own get back on the trail. Skip that extra 12 pack this
weekend and donate to help Rick out of this mess.

Any vendors who care to contribute to this project, NOW is the time to
speak up!

I tagged a lifted yellow YJ over here in the west valley. I finally
got the tag off of my hands since I got it on the road from Crown
King back to the highway last Saturday. First time running the
anniversary Crown King Run with the Group, and it was awesome. I am
still not sure who tagged me out of the pack of Jeeps I was traveling
with, but I am thinking it was Sharky! But of course I could be
wrong. I tried to find someone in the east valley, but had no luck.
Well Mr. Yellow YJ... good luck in taking care of that tag.

Just wanted to give some props to John for some awesome work on
tubeage for my rocker guards.

BTW, I finally had the oppurtunity to be very abusive on my tube
fenders/winchplate/bumper on Armageddon this weekend, as as expected,
they held up without a hint of flex or any breakage.
