Darren:

I need to look at it pretty hard. The fuel line is all rubber now and
the exhaust (other than the manifolds) are on the other side from the
fuel lines.

Whatever everyone decides is ok with me and I will support, but please
remember if we do something in the Florence Junction area and plan on
camping and/or parking on State Trust Land.... (i.e. the Jamboree site)
EVERYONE MUST HAVE A PERMIT! You can be assured the jerk Sheriff from out
there will check EVERYONE............ he gave me grief with an ASA4WDC
Group Club Permit a few months ago. We can legally do camping on BLM lands
but I don't know of any area large enough to accomodate more than a half
dozen or so vehicles/camps............ AND we cannot advertise any "fees"
involved or our friendly Tucson BLM will require a permit costing $80.00
plus 3% of the gross income OR $80.00 plus $4.00 per person/day.

If we simply do a campout and have "donations" on site......... nothing to
do with "registration fees" BLM cannot do anything about it.............
Just "food for thought"......... not trying to cause trouble again.

I hate these kind of questions but. What's a 92 YJ with hard top and doors worth? It has a 4 banger, motors bad, 5 speed with a/c. Haven't looked at it yet but "suspost " to have excelent body and interior. Otherwise stock. I'm going to look at it tomorrow and would like a ballpark of where to start. Also what's involved in swapping in a 4.0/auto setup and how much am I looking at for the motor/trans?

Thanks

I saw it once in the parking lot of 4WS and one night before a run on Woodpecker (I think)..

Any of you guys know the specs of this sweet Jeep? I remember it had a big engine and 5x5.5" bolt pattern with 42s. Im kicking arround the idea of a 500cc powered CJ2, and this looks a lot like what Id like to do.

Any help will be appreciated!

Gary,
I've got a 360 in my CJ, and I had the same problem with the vapor lock. I
was running mostly rubber fuel line. I replaced about 75% of it with metal
line, including from the fuel pump to the carb, except for an inline fuel
filter just before the carb, and since then I have not had any trouble with
it. Someone had told me that the metal line transfers the heat better.
Worked for me????????

Hey Everyone,

I ran my quads up towards Crown King today and the AZVJC Sign was
still on the corner of SR 74 and the turn off for Castle Hot
Springs. I grabbed the sign as I am sure that it was just forgotten,
but I don't know who it belongs to. It is just a piece of OSB
Plywood with the "AZVJC" Spray Painted on it. I don't want to throw
it away if whoever made it wants it. Please let me know if it is
yours and if you want it back, or if you just want me to get rid of
it.

BTW, Stu, I got to the ledge and the timber is back there along with
a bunch of stacked rocks 8^) (Although not enough, because I rolled
one of our quads getting over the darn thing, and broke the brake
lever, so we had to turn around. I guess I need to stick to Jeeps
for those places. LOL) They need the Timber Chucker for sure.

Thanks

Gary

Hello all,

I've not yet gotten to BofA to open the acct, but my PayPal acct online
sure is growing. So far we have over $110.00 donated by generous,
caring
individuals.

I figure if the club can organize to help an entire community that it
doesn't even know (fire run), we SHOULD be able to collect enough to
help
one of our own get back on the trail. Skip that extra 12 pack this
weekend and donate to help Rick out of this mess.

Any vendors who care to contribute to this project, NOW is the time to
speak up!

Subject: [az_vjc] AZVJC Sign

Thanks

Gary

I just wanted to say thanks to Rick. He should have been at home
resting and recovering, but he was at work today and he gave me the
best deal in the valley. He didn't know me from Adam, but when I told
him that I had seen his name on the AZVJC, he bent over backwards to
help me. I think that we should thank god we didn't loose such a
great hearted member or his sons. I saw pictures of the wreck and I
couldn't even tell what make the other car had been. Once again
Thanks Rick and if you need anything..

P.S. Rick, those tire had 29,598 miles on them.
Thanks

A big thanks goes to Jay for setting me up with a full set of springs for my 1/4 eliptic setup. Also I only need 2 of the four sets of leafs so if anyone needs a couple, let me know.
Ok, now for the question: Any one in the group running a 1/4 eliptic setup on a CJ5 ?
I would really like to talk with someone that has done it, and maybe take a peek if I could.

Thanks,
Shawn

Ditto on the Paypal!

Rick has saved me hundreds of $ on tires. Everything from the absolute best
price on my 38.5" SX's down to replacement on my trailer tires which seem to
blow on a weekly basis lately<rolleyes

Even the members who haven't used Rick before should still help. You know
you are going to need some tires soon.

That may be a little too soon for many to plan for.
