See that! Group #2 had some pretty rough and tough folks in it! I know Bill had to work at it, but getting body damage on the CK trail is no easy task, for sure!

Bill….it had been far too long without ever actually meeting you…..it was a pleasure to share the trail with you and Diane.

My donation for the month. Guess my quarter panel and cheezy bumper kept me from flopping. Diane tried to tell me it was a stupid line to pick,

By the way we got home to Heber safe and sound, and thanks to a great group again. Diane and I enjoyed it, Great job of tail gunning by Roy and Cricket in Stu's group. Stu, finally nice to met you. Your even better in person.

Scott,

You are correct in doing what you are doing. I should have went and
helped, I know that both of the Dans would have done it for me (this
is not a smart ***** comment, it is the truth, these guys have bent
over backwards to help me).
I don't know where this trail is. Furthermore, I am not sure if my
Jeep is capable of making this trail. This trail doesn't seem to be
listed on our trails list and other than hearing of the name it is
unfamiliar to me.

Thanks, from me, for stepping up, once a gain the truth.

Hello All,

Jim Florence lead a trail run Saturday, August 17, 2002 across Crown King from Lake Pleasant

Crown King Anniversary Run Trip Report

I would like to start out thanking everyone that showed up for making this a great event. I had a lot of fun and hope everyone else did also.

I lead the early bird run which had only one real problem when Barry B from 4 Wheeler Supply broke either a ring and pinion or Axle on the second obstacle. Barry decided to turn around at that point and head back to his tow rig. Sorry to miss you in Crown King Barry.

I was amazed at how well a group that size moved up that trail. We got to Crown King right around 11:00. I thought we might make it by 1:00. Stu’s group was shortly behind us also. We arrived to find John from Hunter Offroad holding down the fort in Crown King. I am sure Crown King got a lot of needed business.

I do have to give credit to one of our junior members as John was making time with a young lady in the Switchback Dace Chatfield walked up and told him “Daddy when are we going home to see Mom” John was speechless. Which does not happen often.

Again thanks to all and to let Rick Beer know we missed you and are very glad to hear everyone is ok. Thanks to Leonard Pennock for letting us know what happened to Rick and that they were ok. I look forward to next years trip. It was very nice meeting everyone. Jim Florence aka Hackle

Someone was kind enough to provide a tow for the I need starter fluid vehicle to get it off of the obstacle.

This same person accidentally left the obstacle with a 2 receiver tow hook still in his/her rear bumper that belongs to another VJC member.

On the chance that this person randomly checks their e-mail (something I have found with some members), if you know who was driving the Jeep that provided the tow, please drop me a note too.

I would like to get this wrapped up as soon as possible.

As you may know, I rebuilding the website using a better technology.

The rest I leave up to you send them to me and I will create an online poll and let the membership decide which logo is used.

Thanks James,

I understand the trail is not well known, but they asked yesterday
for help, and Im very suprised NO ONE responded at all. All they
needed was a few extra hands to help fix the Jeep, they weren't
asking anyone else to run the trail. By the time I got there, they
were just getting the Jeep off the trail and getting it loaded into
the trailer, but they were very grateful to see me. I understand the
way Dan posted it, it may have seemed he expected you to run up the
trail, but he wasnt that far in from the trailhead easily within
walking distance.

Happy Trails,

Ok, Im going to send this out to all of the graphic artist or GA wannabes:

As you may know, I rebuilding the website using a better technology.

Im also changing the way it looks (a little). What I need is a logo for the AzVJC that is about 50pix high by 100to150 pix wide. The logo needs to contain the words Arizona Virtual Jeep Club

The rest I leave up to you send them to me and I will create an online poll and let the membership decide which logo is used.

Thanks!
