Shooter's World has their small gun vaults on sale.

I snagged a photo from the internet....I think this was the one I saw today that they were selling for $85. It is meant to attach to something in your bedroom, vehicle, etc. Pretty easy to open in the dark (no key necessary).

That's the one I want to get... $85 is a good price for it. Might have to drop a hint for xmas

Yeah, I need to get one as well......I was thinking about the slightly larger version - are those on sale as well?

Tom, yes, the larger ones are on sale too.

I believe the next "size" up is called the multi.....and if I remember correctly, it was priced at $99.

I am going down to get one today....not sure which of the two I want....still working on that decision.

Edit: They have one that is the size of a suitcase (give or take a bit). Not sure how much that one was going for. I would get a regular gun safe before getting something like that.

Picked one up this morning....got the smaller one.

Get an 8 pack of "AA" alkaline batteries while you are out as it is "batteries not included".

Haven't mounted it yet but I do like it thus far. Easy to program (beats the HECK out of my VCR)! More than enough room for a handgun, flashlight, and some ammo/mag.

Stu, be sure to replace the batteries annually, more often if you use it a lot. Mine is in a place that makes it hard to use the key, so it's a bummer when you forget and it won't work with the finger combination.

Thanks for the tip and I shall keep that in mind. I'm thinking since I got it at Christmas, I'll have to incorporate it into a "Christmas tradition" kind of thing. :)
