Gary,

You did more than just post your opinion. You told everyone to "shut
up" and you expressed disregard for not only the law but also for the
concerns of other club members to actively fight to improve the image
of OHV'ers.

Jon,

If said individual would have indicated they don't understand the
need for the STL permit, then I am highly confident they would
have received a proper education from other club members.
But this individual was offensive and expressed disregard for
the law and the concerns of those who fight for our sport.

I think people have been plenty sensible with this individual. By
the way, this individual's member profile includes a trail preference
that says "One that doesn't spill my beer". I'm thinking I very
well may have picked up one or more of his empties off the trail.

Jayke,

If legality was the only factor, then I can agree with your
statement. However, it's more than just a legality. It's
an image. A reputation. A perception by the public and
by the government agencies.

It's also an insult to those who spend their time and effort
fighting for the cause.

AZVJC......
Below is a web site with a survey put together by the United Four Wheel
Drive attorney........ she is 100% on OUR side and has spent countless
dedicated hours fighting for our cause. Please take a minute or two to
answer this survey.

This survey reflects on the nationwide push to make all/some recreational
areas a "fee" area. By hearing what you all feel will help Carla in her
directions when facing the legislature in Washington. When doing this
survey please do not simply say "no fee anywhere, anytime" just for the
principal of it. We will have, and actually do, a number of "fee areas"
across the country. At this time many of them are not directed at motorized
other than ATV's but this "idea" is on the forefront and Carla is looking at
some direction of how to head it off or at the least turn these areas
towards our benefit.

THANKS, Sandee

I will not be debating this on the forum any longer, I intend to
persue my points with the SLD and if necessary the State Leg. One
last time, I don't have a problem with paying for a permit, I don't
have a problem getting a permit, in fact I have strongly advised
everyone in my club to get one. I have a problem with the restrictive
nature of who is covered. If my position offends some, so be it. It
is my opinion, and I am entitled to air said opinion. If any one

Hello all

If you have waited until the last minute to renew or obtain your STL Permit (like me) and were planning to get one from 4 Wheelers Supply, I recommend calling them before you make the trip to make sure they have some. As of 12:30 today they were out. They are expecting more to be delivered "some time soon" but there is no set time for the delivery.

Not sure there Roger...

I don't really want to get into a debate about drinking beer and
trailing. Just because he drinks doesn't necessarily mean he
litters. Furthermore, we all know the dangers associated with
drinking and driving. I go with people that drink and it really
doesn't bother me, if they ruin anything, 9 out of 10 times it'll be
they're stuff. Plus as slow as we go...I choose to live with that
and not preach over and over.

You have to be patient with people that don't have a firm grasp of
the whole picture, weather it be law or whatnot. If you can show
them, explain to them in a way they'd understand, rather than butt
heads you'll go further. There's nothing more dangerous than someone
with misconstrued ideas sticking to their "guns" because they believe
they are right. You trying to "change" them only complicates the
situation and reaffirms in their mind that they are indeed right.

I read his response to meeting y'all at CK. That's cool. I'm not
implying he is not smart or anything like that so don't anyone go
getting aggrevated in that regard.

LOL and set in his ways I am guessing. His post came off crass, but
Im sure when all is said and done he'll have a permit and be welcome

Subject: [az_vjc] Kids on the CK run on Saturday

Is anyone bringing their kids to this run?. I have mixed emotions
about it, mine are good troopers but it seems like a long day for
them, yet the memory of seeing about a houndred Jeeps wheeling might
make it worth their while.

If any of you are taking their kids, please let me know so I cant ask
them (my kids) what they want to do. Thanks.- Jose
