I could throw a Sun Solaris 32 bit Netscape Communicator email your way... with and without an attachment.

Ok, I'm working on a Mailing List application to possibly replace Yahoo Groups.
I believe I have the e-mail communication part finished, but would like some messages sent from various sources (i.e. Netscape, Lotus Notes, Macintosh's, Linux machines, Unix, etc...) I've tested it against MS Outlook 2000 pretty extensively, but want to make sure the mail parser can handle messages from these other sources (any curve balls out there?)
Anyway I'd appreciate if some of you could send some messages (Plain Text, HTML, With or Without IMAGE attachments) to:
Test@AzChatfield.net
Thanks,
Mike Chatfield

Sandee,
Here is a good question. What are the Jeep tour people doing? I guess my
first question should be do they cross STL? If so do their passengers
carry permits?
I know I may be stretching it but there is a lot of STL out there.
Just curious.

I agree, the Spicer gears are probably your best bet. Most likely it
was just a fluke thing.
I'd even try and get a hold of the folks at Spicer and tell them your
situation. One year doesn't seem like much of a warranty on a gear.
Maybe they can do something to help you out. They may even like to
see the gears once your buddy is done looking at it. Even if they
can't do anything to help you out, it doesn't hurt to try.
Just a quick question... After you had the gears installed, did you
follow the directions on breaking them in? Not blaming you or
anything... but that's a critical time for the gear teeth to
strengthen up to the abuse they're subjected to on a daily basis.

reflects on a large number of respectful 4-wheelers that want to abide by

It is just that attitude that will give us all a bad name. I do
personally have a permit and I would like all that I wheel with to have
one also. If and when I do have friends and visiting family they will
have a permit also.
I vote him off the island also.
You can see my name at the bottom of all of my emails.

These are "commercial" ventures and they have "permits" from ALL
agencies..... FS, BLM & ASLD. They pay $1300.00 up front and 3% of their
yearly gross income plus extras for special tours etc........ At this time
they pay 3% to EACH agency..... this is being worked out to be 3%
total....... based on the % on each of the different lands. These
commercial permits automatically cover their passengers............. they
must declare a certain number of passengers each month and pay extra if they
do more than the approved number of tours and/or passengers.

Subject: State Land Permit
Tammy,
Today, I had the opportunity to renew my State Trust Land Use permit.
During the visit I had the opportunity to talk to a very helpful employee
(Dawn). She took the time to ask for suggestions about the permit program.
She suggested that I send my comments to you.
As a frequent user of State Trust Land to explore with my jeep I would like
to make a suggestion for a simple change in the permit process. The
individual permit works well for me and I am happy to be counted as a user
of this land. However, I also have friends, or family members who come into
town over the weekend and would like to see the Arizona desert. It is not
always possible to get a permit on short notice.
My suggestion would be to implement a permit that would allow me to take
guests along, who are not immediate family. Perhaps it could be for a
specific vehicle. This would allow me to legally share State Trust Land
with our out of state visitors.
As you can see by the Cc above I am a member of the Arizona Virtual Jeep
Club and this has been a hot topic with the members for quite a while.
Please include them in your response and don't be surprised if you get some
additions to my comments.
I look forward to your response and suggestions to implement this addition
to the permit process.
Thanks
Dan Schwartz

Subject: State Land Closures
Dear Mr. Anable, State Land Commissioner
Recently I read in the Arizona Republic that two (2) areas have been closed by the ASLD. One area in the North Valley Area and the other in the West Valley near Jackrabbit Road. Apparently these areas are only closed to the OHV community and results from the associated dust.
I am a member of the Arizona Virtual Jeep Club, as copied on this email, and have 4 Wheeled in the area in the West Valley. I understand that the ASLD has the authority to close areas, but I find it difficult to understand how these areas, and other potential areas, can be; 1.) Closed just to the OHV community while others are left free to recreate, and 2.) Closed with no attempt made by the ASLD to find other avenues to reduce the dust problem short of just closing the area.
By singling out the OHV users, that would as least suggest that, the ASLD has an agenda to impact just those users without public input or recommendations and to keep these lands open only to those groups that have lobbied the appropriate agencies and/or individuals.
I realize that OHV's have the potential to create more dust than a hiker, but through an effort on the ASLD's part, with help from the OHV community, these users can be educated in methods to reduce the dust levels to an acceptable standard.
I hope that you will encourage the ASLD to seek the community's input and support to reduce the particulate in the air by every means possible short of closures, especially when those closures target only one user group.
Thank you for your consideration,

You can use the stock muffler. I bought a Gibson catback for mine and
it's as big as the stock muffler. All you neeed to do is rotate the
muffler about 45 degrees clockwise. Or you can use one of the small
tubular mufflers such as a flowmaster.

I don't know how long you have been a member, and I don't care. My question
is have you seen even 1/2 of the stuff that BLM has been attempting to do...
As a group we have been at land meetings, we have done clean up runs, we
have written letters and sent emails. Members have given up their time and
money to fight the bureaucracy of the BLM and help bring a positive view of
our sport to Joe Public. When you post something saying that you're above
the law and the rules don't apply to you, you're going to have people not to
happy. Until I joined this group I had no idea about any of the land being
off limits or needing a permit. Now that I know I have a permit and I try
and do my part to keep the trails open.
I hope that you see that $15 is a small price to pay when it comes to
keeping a trail open. Please pick up a permit.
While I don't agree with each person needing a permit, I will be picking up
a permit for my girlfriend so that everyone in my jeep is covered. I hope
you change your mind and pick up a permit before you go to CK. I also hope
the check people on the trail this weekend. If they do I am covered.

Thanks

Thank you for your consideration,
Robert Peck

With out the good by interview! There are reasons that we have LU issues, and why we have trouble with those who don't "Tread Lightly", or pick up their F@$*ing trash on the trails.

Subject: Building long arms, which steel to use??
I am getting everything together to build my long arms, just deciding what
kind of steel to use.
A. Chrom-Moly 1 5/8 x .120
B. DOM 1 3/4 x .25
I know there was a large discussion about Chrom-Moly regarding the tie
rods, but lets not get into that one again. Do you think Chrom-Moly would
hold up?
Thanks,
Mike Baney
