OK I need new tires badly. Been looking around to see what I want. I want 35/12.5/15 tires. I am not sure what brand tires I want to go with. I want to keep them 200$ or less a tire since I need 5. My rig goes from my house to the trail and back. Spool in the rear and lockrite up front. So basically a trail rig. I am asking for opinions I know its all preference but it can sway my opinion into a decision.

The Discoverer STT's from Cooper look to be great and are under the 2 bill mark, Desert Fab can hook you up.
Also, My ProComp Extreme Muds have been great

X2 on the STT's I have been looking at new tires and I have decided on the Coopers mostly because of the 3 ply sidewalls.

I got my 35x12.5 Goodyear MTR at discount for just under a grand with certs. I know you want to be under 200 a tire but hey whats another 200 bucks for a great tire.
I know you can get BFG's AT for less than $200
good luck

Trxus Mud Terrain would be my vote. Interco makes damn good tires.

If its a trail rig then don't buy radials... instead buy 4 bias tires and a good tire plug kit And you'll probably never even use the plug kit
getting rid fo the spare will keep the weight down and you won't have a big fat tire hanging off the back.
My vote is for 35" bias claws. Thats what I have and they've been my favorite tires so far. No more cut sidewalls and they grip better than my previous MTRs and TRXUS.
FYI, I daily drive my jeep with the bias claws and they wear a little faster than radials but their strength and grip outway that negative. After my last outing and seeing another jeeper cut up their radials sidewalls, I'm never going back to radials again.
The 35x13.5x15 bias claws are about $240 each though but you'll only have to buy 4 of em

I've had the Trxus MT's and they are my second favorite multi-use tire behind the Toyo MT's. Very quite on the street and good offroad. With that said I agree with the above statements. If it's going to be a trail rig then bypass the whole radial idea and get some bias tires. I've actually commuted with a set of Bias Swampers and it wasn't that bad.

MT Claw bias. If it is not a DD, save the extra cash from the spare and buy a plug kit. You could also get some Maxxis Creepies, but 4 would be around $1000-$1200. But you definately will not need a spare.

Dumb question why are bias tires ok to plug side walls and radials arent? Another thing is how bad is the wear on the tire with a bias tire I have to drive it to and from the trail with a spool?
