Well I have been wanting to chop my wheel wells for some time now, finaly did it, I need to do some fine triming and find some slim trim to cover the cuts.
First time I have ever tried anything like this, I dont think it came out to bad.

Before the sawsall came out

Nice! Now it's time for bigger and more aggresive tires. I'm in the same situation.

I did things backwards though, I got 32's before I cut my fenders Needless to say, that's the first thing I did when I got home. Too many white XJ's in the club!:aagh:

I know Terron I have been talking cutting them and lockers for some time..the cutting is done and close to getting locker for fron since I have to replace my axle u-joints and seals might just put locker in at same time

Nice! Now it's time for bigger and more aggresive tires. I'm in the same situation.

that is the whole reason I cut em want to move up to 33 x 12.5 MT soon :D

I could not afford lockers.. so I did this mostly just labor but now I need bigger tires cause they look soooo small:aagh:

I can't afford lockers right now either, or a winch, or on board air(that's what I really want next). Did have a small oil leak - think it was becuz oil filter was jarred looooooooose. Been raining so not sure it its still leaking or not. My XJ is my new yard ornament :smug: I should hit 100,000 miles on it tomorrow - about 800 miles since I bought it. I also like that it's not WHITE.:pleased:

I gotta show off my skills here:

I then used some rubber molding we use at work (build A/V racks and sometimes have to cut down plates etc..).

I might have to get a close up shot of it, worked out pretty well and hasn't fallen off yet!
