I think my tank is leaking on the YJ*. I have been looking on line and can't find a tank. I can fond the older tanks all day long. Why are they so hard to find???

How hard is the change out if I do need one?

* Its been smelling of raw fuel for about a week. I found one of the strap bolts with gas on it tonight. I am hopeing that it was just a little spill over last time I gassed up.

I know it is costly but talk to Joe at Absolute, I think he still has has the Genright tanks in stock... Dave @ Desert fab can order too. They are worth the money. New "metal" tank that comes in a new HD tank skid. You can get the 20gal for YJs or a 17 that allows your to move your axle back up to 4-5" inches Without have to relocate you tank all together...
I put the YJ, 20gal Krawler on my Santa wish list since it is on sale...

the fuel tanks should be the same up to 95 from what i have read.

only difference may be is the way the fuel pump sits int he tank.

From what I understand, you might be able to use a 2.5L fuel tank?

if all else fails. go to the AMC salvage or other local Jeep junk yard...

or at least drop the tank and find out where it is leaking, it may not even need a tank.
