This may, or may not work... My buddy had this problem, and his tranny was
making a clicking sound... We checked his tranny fluid, and it was low...
So he filled it up, and the noise went away... Check your fluids... Do you
have any leaks? To me it sounds like a t-case problem... so focus your
attention there...

Did you call 4wheelers to see what they can do for you? I think I can speak
for the club and say that we are all pleased with the work at 4 wheelers....
They usually stand behind their work too... BUT... Nevertheless... If you
dont want to go back, you dont want to go back... I would suggest Arizona
Trailwerks. They do really good work on everything you need....

Subject: 94 zj need help
hi all
I got 94 zj with 120 k mile on it AT and I6.
Recently started to have problems with it, I need help to solve it.
here they are:
1)I just changed the fuel pump. After changed it everytime when it is
hot I have to crank it harder in order to start it. If i turn of the
engine and wait 30 minutes it takes longer crank time. BUt when it
is cold short crank time and starts. Does the fuel pump defective or
something else?
2) Now started to stall after it gets hot. after 30 minutes drive it
shuts of itself, and start again but this time sguts of itself a few
minutes later. When it is cold I don't have that problem. I cannot
drive more than 30 minutes right now. I just changed the fuel filter
too and continued the problem. Only think comes my mind is vapor
lock or auto shut off relay. I replaced the auto shut off relay too
but continued the problem.
3) My dome light which is by the leg room and light at the ignition
switch are on when the doors are closed and off when doors are open.
Isn't suppose to be other way around? I don't have any problem with
the interior light that up. any Ideas?
Any idea will help. Thank you all.

Kyle,
The trip, for most of us, is going to be one way up to Crown King. Once
there, you can either go back the way you came or take the graded county
road down the mountain to I-17 and back to Phoenix through Black Canyon
City. From Crown King to I-17 is about 25 miles but usually slow going
with wash board roads, switch backs, etc. I would allow yourself a
total of 3 hours to get back to Phoenix (from Crown King) going this
route, just to be safe.
The travel time going up is usually around 4 hours (from Lake Pleasant
to Crown King) but with as many people as we have going, it will
certainly take long than that. The biggest challenge will be keeping
the people moving, in the first groups, so that we don't create a bottle
neck and slow everyone down that comes behind us.
Off-roading, per a time schedule, rarely works. You can't hold anyone
responsible, except yourself, if you don't make it back by a specific
time. The trip is pretty easy (even if you have just a few mods on your
Jeep) but with 6 or 7 dozen people, you can never predict what may
happen, who might break down, etc. If your return time is critical,
think twice about the trip. That is the best advice I can give you.

2 more land closures in Arizona...read on....
This was an article that was found in the Arizona Republic.
Off-Roading is banned from 2 sites
In the name of curbing air pollution, the state has banned motorized
vehicles from two tracts of state-owned land in the Valley.
The indefinite closures affect 78 acres newar Buckeye and 642 acres
in the far North Valley.
Both parcels are undeveloped and often used by all-terrain vehicle
enthusiasts. The vehicles chew up the desert crust, which holds dust
in place, and then kick up microscopic particle pollution that
worsens air quality.
The state took the action on the advice of the Maricopa County
Enviromental Services Department, which is responsible for enforcing
dust control rules. The county felt that the two tracts of land were
a troublesome source of particulate pollution, said Nick Simonetta, a
spokesman for the state Land Department.
The idea is to let the land "heal", Simonetta said, adding that the
motorized-vehicle ban will last until particulate levels drop enough
to satisfy health standards.
The North Valley site is north of Cloud Road and between Seventh
Street and Seventh Avenue. The Buckeye tract is between Interstate 10
and McDowell Road, west of Jackrabbit Trail.
People can still use the land for other activities, such as hiking
and horseback riding, Simonetta said. That requires a permit,
available from the department at (602) 542-4632 or through it's web
site at www.land.state.az.us/support/faqs.htm

LOL your gas powered leaf blower must be mighty powerful.
Unintentionally my Jeep picks up quite a bit of dust. Especially in
those areas. I bet if you took your leaf blower out there and blew it
for 5 minutes you wouldn't be able to see for an hour!
I am sorry this is probably not as funny as I am making it out to be. I
feel for those that are affected by the closure this drought is pretty
bad. WE NEED RAIN. If it's not forest closures because of fire danger
it's dust control for health reasons. WE NEED RAIN.

Subject: Az State Land Trust Permits
The idea of a permit to go on State lands is prolly a good idea, it
gives them an idea how many people might be using the areas, and an
idea who is using. I think that perhaps the restrictive nature of the
family permit needs to be addressed, and hopefully modified. In my
opinion, and that of others that I have spoken with about this, the
family permit should be changed to cover all persons in a particular
vehicle. That way, if u want to take your mom, or your aunt or even
your no-good son in law with you in the vehicle, that person is
covered and does not need to purchase a permit for a one time ride. I
hope I will hear some other folk's views on this, if there is a
general agreement maybe we can come up with something to take to the
land department. Damn, I'm gonna hafta take a nap now, not used to
typing so much at one time.

So he filled it up, and the noise went away... Check your fluids... Do you

hi all
I got 94 zj with 120 k mile on it AT and I6.

Subject: 2 More closures

Brian,
LOL your gas powered leaf blower must be mighty powerful.

PS Before you flame me read what I said again. I am sad for the closures
but dust is unhealthy.
