I was more than happy to run the down payment to CK today, actually, I just
got home. I just wish I could have had more participants for this lunch
though. I was hoping to at least get 100 participants, heck, even 75-80, but
I only got 50. oh well, that's better than 0. LOL! It's gonna be a lot of
fun though, and that's what counts.

To match that price locally I'd need somebody who was willing to sell it

I'll call Barry at 4 Wheelers and see how low he's willing to go.

Scott,

10% off most ARB's will get the price to around $575.00. Plus we probably have them in stock, so no waiting. Warranty issues if any can be handled over the counter vs. have to mail yours back and wait for reply, then the re-shipping of the new one. I also imagine they charge shipping and handling.

Any question call me at 602-273-7195

Both are great lockers. At the moment the ARB is available in more applications. Most of the cons on the ARB are somewhat unwarranted. Proper install will generally get you years of problem free use. I have had an ARB since 1993 and in the nine years have had to replace a non ARB switch and an in-line fuse. The Ox is good for rear application, but a little problematic in front use due to binding.

Good luck with your decision!

Barry

Scott Kruize wrote:

ARB solenoids, switches, and the ARB compressor tend to be where most of
the trail failures with an ARB come from. That's why I'm going with the
mechanical air switch and inline regulator run off my CO2 tank.

I've read that some have some diffuculties routing the shifter cables on
the OX and the older generation had problems with the shifter but the
latest shifter seems to have solved the problems.

Other than those issues they both seem to be a great choice. ARB is the
cheaper of the 2. Both are very strong. I chose the ARB for cost and
availability. The OX is still fairly expensive and axle choices are
still limited to the D30, 35, and 44.

Hehehe!
You all missed a pretty good time!
Saw allot of super cool cars.

Damn tag game!!
Stu tagged Withers, Withers tagged Anderson, Anderson (Squirrelly little
Sh@#$t bucket tagged me! Sharky was in there somewhere too I believe.....

Ohh well, we all more than made up for it by teasing Mike relentlessly, then
we unloaded it on an unsuspecting XJ.
The guy came up and introduced himself later, we questioned him about his
Jeep, then congratulated him on being "It"!!
(Sorry, as bad as I am with names, I can't remember his, I'm sure he'll
speak up though.)

The Jeeps get allot of attention at these shows. Seems the hot rod cruiser
crowd has allot of respect for modifying and building up something that you
can do more than cruise the boulevard with.

Had a lengthy conversation with Stu, while the "Kids" drank their "Silver
Sodas"...... They finally offered Stu one, I couldn't believe they tortured
him by making him wait that much. (Younger Generation, Baahh!)

Just as we were really starting to have fun, Mama called and reminded me we
had no kids for the evening.
(Those of you with children can feel me on this).
The guys thought it was pretty big funny that I bolted outta there after her
call......as far as they are concerned, I'm super Whooped.... I guess that's
fine by me, I know what's REALLY important in life!
Anyway, I'll probably do it again in a couple weeks. We'll have to see.

Barry, Scott:

Thanks for the feedback.

Barry, is the binding in the locker itself for in the actuation mechanism?

install will generally get you years of problem free use. I have had an ARB
since 1993 and in the nine years have had to replace a non ARB switch and an
in-line fuse. The Ox is good for rear application, but a little problematic
in front use due to binding.

Ray,

Attached is an axle Id chart. Look at it before ordering parts for an 8.25.
You should either have a dana35 or a dana44 in the rear of your XJ. Unless
somone swapped in the 8.25 before you got ahold of it...
Anyways check out the chart....

I hope this helps

Subject: Home Made Disco's

Hey Guys, Would this work for making disco's on my YJ

http://www.rockcrawler.com/techreports/budgetdisconnects/index.htm

Get 2 Clevis pins
2 cotter pins
and 4 washers

I can't afford some "real" disconnects so would this a be temporary
fix?

Thanks, and someday I will be able to answer a questiong or 2 ;)
