I will never forget how bad ALL TV is. I kicked that time-wasting, mind-altering addiction 6 years ago and I don't miss any of it one bit. Even Star Trek (all of them), which was my favorite, I don't really miss it. I highly recommend quitting cold turkey to everyone. It really is a terrible thing.

TIVO is wonderful - I rarely watch any TV and I let Wayco do the programming because I simply don't care. So, when I do want to watch TV I can sit down and go through a list of items already ready for my viewing.

I like Discovery HD, but I'd rather read a book.

I spent a couple of days home sick a couple of weeks ago. After falling asleep on the couch with the TV on, then waking up, I felt:
The need to go to a tech school
The need to go get cash from a "check-and-go" shop
The need to hire an attorney, my need seemed to lean more towards a personal injury (I didn't know I had)
The need for a Chiropractor
The need to get a car, without having a credit check

I was severely messed up and didn't even know it, until, I watched day time TV.

I grew up without it...my father believed it was evil and so I missed all the Bulls finals games I wanted to see among many other things. I am now a full blown TV addict...I love it now. Maybe if I had it most of my life I would be sick of it by now.
