Joe,
I wanated more clearance for my tires and an install with few complications, so I opted for a 1" Daystar body lift. The poly mounts are far superior to the factory rubber ones and the install was fairly easy. I didn't even have to trim my fan shroud (2.5L). Anything more than a 1" lift and your looking at modifying your steering, fuel and brake lines, and increasing stress put on the body. Go for the 1" Daystar. You'll be as happy as a little girl!

Don't forget a motor mount lift too. Not necessary but recommended. Specially for a TJ to get the oil pan up a bit more.
I have a hockey puck lift. And am now wanting to go to something a bit more solid. The pucks are squishing. I think Daystar makes a body lift that replaces the factory bushings. That is the one I have been looking at because my factory bushings are very old.

While all of you were debate changes today. I got my junk on 4 wheels. The

means when I get done it will end up being about 5-6" taller than my TJ,
taking into account the weight that will be added to it. It has stock YJ

I have left over a full width, passenger side drop, front, D44 without

I hope you guys had some fun today I know I did. I am going to go celebrate,

This is a 231 transfer case that I took out of my 1993 wrangler. It is a 23 spline which means it bolts up to the 5 speed ax 15 transmission. I don't know what else it will bolt up to. Come and get it

The good news is I got my baby back! Missing a few things but mostly intact. I think the thing that saved me was my clutch was almost gone and it went while they were driving it.
I want to thank everybody for their help keeping an eye out for it. I'm really bad with names but you know who you are.
Thank you. Maybe sometime we can get together and I'll buy you guys lunch.
See you on the trail! (after some minor work)

Joe,
I wanated more clearance for my tires and an install with few complications, so I opted for a 1" Daystar body lift.

I was thinking about a 1" body lift.

While all of you were debate changes today. I got my junk on 4 wheels. The
Suspension is done (not including shocks & mounts), axles are set and the
frame is done. It sits 26.5" to the bottom of the frame on 30" tires. This
means when I get done it will end up being about 5-6" taller than my TJ,
taking into account the weight that will be added to it. It has stock YJ
springs on it.
I have left over a full width, passenger side drop, front, D44 without
knuckles with 3.54's and open. I am asking $75. If anybody wants it let me
know.
I hope you guys had some fun today I know I did. I am going to go celebrate,
right after I drop the tranny off to have it built.

PS - Mike C., "if you build they will come". Use the Yahoo Group as a mirror
site like they do for newsgroups. Then you can have your cake and eat it
too. Chris K., people don't have to be members of AzVJC to post at this
Yahoo Group, they don't even have to ask permission. At least with a
bulletin board format you would have moderators.
