Set up a Will Call in advance with Cole. We did that last year for a few members. It really saves time for everyone. It was so crazy busy last year Im sure a few people didn't get served. :)

Last year the Sale was on a Saturday. This year its on a Sunday. Very few people are in that area on a Sunday. Also you have to put your club name and your real name on the entry. 1 entry per club name. Everybody uses the honor system.

There will only be about 4 of us working so we will not be able to watch everything and everyone. So kids will be fine, PLEASE watch them close. And I think with the great group of people we will be having we can all keep an eye out and be safe. There will be some alcohol consumed. Drink responsibly!

Good news, bad news, and good news.

Good news: made it to the Christmas sale.

Bad news: Couldn't find the gift certificate that I won at Hunter's BBQ. Still don't remember where I put it, "so I wouldn't lose it".

Good news: Got to swap some ideas, follow up on selling my 78 Cherokee instrument cluster, bought some stuff, got to pick the brain of a 4 Wheelers employee (thanks you) for future ideas re which winch and so on, ordered a pair of 5 point harnesses, and won a couple of shackles.

Oh yeah, got the last burger with cheese on it.

Showed up with the wife and checkbook in hand and went on shopping spree :aagh: for my X-Mas presents. I was like a kid walking into a candy store :drool5:.

Got some KC Long Range HiLites, windshield mounts, KC overheat relay kit, a Daystar Rocker Switch panel made for the JK dash, a rear shackle/hitch tongue, 3"x30' recovery strap, a 48" HiLift Jack and Daystar rubber isolator!!! Nice prices Cole! :aagh::drummer::aagh::drummer::aagh:

Also won a nice set of tire deflators in the raffle. :punk:

Now that my noob starter kit is complete, I can start saving for my lift and wheels/tire next.

Great to see some faces that I knew and some others that I didn't.

I didn't spend as much as I wanted to but I am sure that I will make up for it in the new year.
I would have spent a little more but the wife and I both were lucky enough to win a set of trail head deflators!!! If I didn't win them, I was going to buy a set for the wife for a stocking stuffer! Now I just need to decide what to do with my Stauns???

Cole, Keith, James, Mike...great job guys. I know you worked your butts off taking care of everyone. Funny thing was that you guys managed to chat with everyone as you took care of them and had patience to let us pick your brains a little.

Simon, it was real good to see you there. Good job on the grill! I appreciate the advice on how to save money but, I am afraid that there is no way that I could give up this hobby now after a year and a half. I'm in too deep with 3 Jeeps. Besides, there are too many good people in this hobby and I don't know of a 12 step program for Jeeping!

I will be looking forward to next year the same as everyone else.

Sponsor, "Well you know you eventually going to get even bigger tires and will upgrade to a Dana 60 or a 14 bolt. In the long run it would be cheaper to go for the 60 or 14 now. By the way if you get that Atlas 4 speed you can have a daily highway and multiuse off road vehicle instead of needing two vehicles."

Great call on the demo/set pressure display for the auto tire deflators. New guy was very helpful, I had been considering these for some time and when I saw how they worked and how to set them and then him taking the time to set them for someone else I was sold.

Got a red pair set to 15 PSI for now. Plan to lower that when I get some bead locks, and to get a blue pair later so I can be ready for what PSI I determine is best for my rig in sand or rocks or something else. And then when I get my next project it won't have the same weight or tires so I will need another pair for ??????????? Oh it just never stops.

Would the business to the West of you where many of us parked let you use there lot for some displays in the future? If so maybe next year (or could be done any time of year) get some volunteers for things like proper use and storage of a High Lift, How lockers work, safe winching techniques, some safety and off road videos running on TV's outside, CB radio operation and etiquette, how to tie your rig down on a trailer, promotion of tred lightly and so on. Maybe even a save the trails and other legal issues table too?

This next idea may be a bit much (as if the rest wasn't with the space you have) but: Two steering set ups on a display at eye level, both lifted, one with out the proper steering mods likely to have death wobble, and one done properly so the drag link is as flat as possible, and maybe a third with a high steer conversion???

I just get full of ideas when I am off work work and supposed to stay off my feet. Should return to work Friday.

Thanks for putting this sale on again, it was fun even though I was as sociable as I usually would be. Not taking pain meds so I could drive will do that.
