Jason, Please don't take this the wrong way, but it has always bothered me with all dealers:

You sold this car right?
It is one year old right?
On every ad you place here you have added this $199.95 paint sealant, which you probably added to this car originally when you sold it to her. Why doesn't this sealant last more than one year?
If it does last more than one year, why are you putting it on again? You guys sold the car originally, so you should know the quality of the sealant you put on.
What if I wanted the car and I didn't want the sealant, would you sell it to me less the sealant price?
If you already prepped the car with the sealant, why did you do that (see points above)?

What mods can be done to get the extra 3-4mpg? Are they expensive?

Does this car have the stock cloth seats? or is this an upgraded interior package?

Paint Sealant

James, The paint sealant lasts 6 months and you get it reapplied every 6 months for 3 years for $200...Most dealers charge double or tripple for the same type of product because of the valleys hard water. How much do people spend on a water softener for thier house????? My repeat customer did not take advanatge of the paint sealant and she bought it about 1.5 years ago from me.

Mods

A simple and inexpensive mod is to add a 3.7 v6 air box which cost under $100 and is a bolt in item. This prevents unwanted debreas from entering the airbox and increases airflow dramatically. Another would be is a high flow ehaust/muffler or not which works great with this mod!

Lostkj's airbox mod among others (http://www.lostkjs.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=21828&highlight=airbox+mod)

I am a member of the lost kj's which these guys have figured alot out on diesel mods to improve the vehicle

The Jeep liberty sport only comes in cloth and sunroofs are rare...you can always add one later.....Pics to follow as I had no way of taking pics..only with my horrible cell phone!

Jason - don't mean to hyjack, but is this sealant just a jeep thing or is it an across the board thing and what does it do - like how much lifetime does it give your current paint? does it help fight oxidation? Where are some sites that someone could go to read up on this stuff? Also, if it isn't just a jeep thing and it goes for all cars, how come I've had 16 cars and never heard of doing this 6 time sealant ritual? is there a limitation on how old the car/paint job can be before you stop getting it?

Have you bought a Car from a Franchised dealer here in town????

This is what I found on the net:

Premium Paint Protection - Protect your vehicles
exterior from oxidation, road salt, acid rain, bird droppings,
tree sap, harsh detergents and more. ZTECH'S advanced
formula provides a superior non wax shine all year round.
This Teflon base sealant bonds to the painted surface which
provides a long lasting barrier against the environment.
Warranties available

Amber this needs to be reapplied every 6 months for 3 years..after that you can buy it again. I have had a guy fight me tooth and nail on it, Come to find out 8 months later he bought a Lexus, They wanted $1200 for the same sealant?? He came back and bought it for both lexus cars..sadly he sold his jeep.

Yep. We bought both the Jeep and the Crown Vic on the same day in Sept 05 from Earnhardt's and no talk of sealant.
I ask because the front of my car is oxidized and i'm having to have the entire hood and front clip repainted. So basically, it can be done throughout the entire life of the vehicle and just protects the paint from being oxidized and chipping.....?

Not from chipping...just from hard water spotting and oxidation and acid rain.

Everyone sells it in the valley...check your purchase order..they probably slipped it in!

hmmmmmmm if they slipped it in, it sure didn't do a good job. Of course I do have a clear layer that is peeling.....maybe its because they didn't inform us and we never went to get it touched up......?

woah....I just saw diesel.......ummmmmmm we wanted a truck but a diesel jeep.....but can it really tow? 5,000 lb doesn't seem like much........trailer w/ jeep??????

Dunno.....If you don't have it re-applied, then yes...you could have paint problems down the road.

Jason,

Will your dealership do the z-tech on my Prius for the same price? I've been pretty impressed with the stuff so far. Although I've only had the srt8 for a few months water still beads just as well as day 1. As far as that particular product Airpark does have the best price that I've seen. I've only priced a few places granted, but other places want at least $100 more if you can believe it.
