I just added the tera rear disk brake to my 1989 XJ. do I need to replace the proportioning valve :confused: if so what do i use? thanks for info Baron

You mean it didn't tell you in the instructions?

Proportioning valve from a ZJ should be the ticket.

I believe there is mod you can do to yours like remove a o ring or something. Try searching google for mod.

i seen that mod but replacing the valve sounds better dont want problems with brakes doing 60 and need them all :) just wasnt sure so wanted some opinions thanks all

This would be interesting to find out. I had my drums replaced with discs at Desert Rat and I do not know if they replaced my valve. If I remember correctly they may have told me it was not an issue.... :confused:

as soon as i get her on the road i will try it out as is... but looking on the web seems most guys replaced it, it said nothing in the instructions with the kit, so thought i would ask here!

O ring trick works well... I can stop a disc converted D60 rear and a Disc D 44 front withthe O ring removal AND a real good bleed.... no problems
