I really want to get into rc crawlers, but they are a bit pricey. I already have one money pit, and I am trying to justify to the lady that another one is a good idea.

Yeah its looking sweet. I have a custom project in the works. I've got my tires and beadlocks and am waiting for a few of the more vital components. I also have a tube buggy being built for me. :D

what axles tlt? im liking that ax10 and for like 400 bucks you can get it ready to go .how much did you pay for a tube chassis i still have to get a decent set of shocks, a new esc and receiver and a lot of fender trimming

I'm actually using Wheely King axles for this project, but am thinking of buying a set of AX10 axles for something else. Price? :whistling: Lets just say its a replica of a Jeep hooded buggy from pirate4x4.:pimp: I still need everything though. :D

yeah but a 4link and coilovers for that is no match for the real thing... but at least you can learn a bit a bout proper geometry before you build your own :D

It reminds me of a Mog video where it went up a 3-4ft concrete ledge without touching! BA for sure! Do you take it out with you when you wheel? Makes for some fun downtime while someone breaks!

Here you go TG, here is my crawler, built up on a copy of the SW2 chassis, TLT-1 axles and 4 wheel steering. Most of the credit for the build and the tube work goes to James (georgia) he did some nice work. We take them on the trail with us and find a spot to play when we stop for breaks.

and yes, the light bar really works, the lights, siren and buttons were scavenged off a Tonka Hummer H-1 police car toy he had in the backyard.
