Awesome pics... Very jealous!
Hackle, I like your set up. How much was it to link/coil-over it?(Not including cost for axles) What size tire is that?
Joe/Lisa, how is the Genright guy set up, linked or SOA?

OK I stopped keeping track of costs a long time ago. This is one of things that if you have to ask the price don't ask:)
If you can do most of the fab work yourself it is managable. The coil overs including coils are over $700 each to start.
The tires I run right now are 39.5" IROC's
Tony has a nice rig and it is linked
HTH Jim
BTW thanks for the comments it was a fun trip.

Allen, Thanks!! we had a great time in JV, the weather was great, and the wheelin was even better. Tony's YJ is Linked with Fox 2.5 airshocks. It uses Gen-right's link/mount kit, which is a very good design for the fabricator. One of the main things we teased him about all week was the fact he still uses the STOCK PEOGEOT trans!!!! Atlas case, pro-rock 60's, linked and airshocked with a BA15 trans!!!!:001_9898: we had some good laughs last week!!! As for hackles build, just remember the JEEP theme.....Just Empty Every Pocket!!

Great photos and your video is fantastic! Hackle, you and Joe absolutely walked everything you drove up to!! Those rigs are built perfectly (obviously) and there is no better testament to Absolute Offroad's skill than a video like that. Lisa oughta link that on the AO website. Can't wait to get my heep started to build like that:drool5:
And I totally dig that creaky, squeaky CJ!!!

Yeah, we missed ya Don.... Shouldda been there...:) FYI, Lisa does ALL the video and pics of most of the runs, thats why you will usually see either pics OR Video of the run. JV is not for the faint of heart, and If you have something thats gonna break, JV will do it. Maybe we (Absolute Offroad) Should plan a spring time trip to JV???Would there be any interest??? Its about 350 miles from here and pretty remote. Camping would all be "dry" camping. Plenty of room for Motorhomes/ campers/ toyhaulers and pleanty of room for tent camping too. So any interest from the VJC?????

You know whats REALLY funny??? That CJ squeaked and creaked like that BEFORE we did the Coilover/3-Link on it!!! We always gave Andy a hard time and teased him about the "sheet" springs up front.....:punk:

I think this is a great idea but I would suggest planning for more then just a weekend trip as it is a good 6 hour drive. That makes Sunday a non wheeling day. Most people would want to be in camp by Thursday night to wheel Friday and Sat. I would be willing to go and lead a couple trips.

That is kind of the point to show people what is possible. I am glad you enjoyed the video there are many more on my web page if you are interested.
They are all large files as once people got used to the file size they seemed to enjoy getting a real feel of what the trail requires. Plus I hate to leave anyone out of the videos. :smart:

The camping sounds good. We could probably make it TO the trailhead. Any 3.0 to 3.5 trails for the not so built Jeeps?

One day, when I win the Powerball, maybe I will build something that is capable of crawling over obstacles like that. Until then I will stick with things that are a bit easier and bow down in awe of the vehicles / skills involved in your videos.

I did not build my YJ in a day as I have owned it for going on 15 years and have built it one step at a time. Trust me I save my money for mods also. The plus is that when you take your time your skills as a driver grow along with your rig.
Thanks for the comments on the videos and my YJ.
