Hi,

Flu season is beginning to ramp up (pun intended for you RTI type folks) and we're running a special for the azvjc; flu shots for $25 and no waiting in any lines... simply call the clinic and make an appointment for a flu shot and let my receptionist know you are with the azvjc. When you come in for your flu shot, you'll get VIP treatment; we'll get you right in and right out for a flat fee of $25.

For those of you who don't know... I'm Joe West's Fiance' so if you come by the clinic, you can get a flu shot, pick up azvjc decals, and say hello to Joe!

I look forward to meeting everyone at Hunter's BBQ, I'll be there in my Bright Blue FJ with azvjc stickers on it (sacrilege I know.. but it's the best I can do for now) :)

I found this for you <g>

Hi Gang,

Well... my girlfriend Tracy (soon to be more than a girlfriend) just opened her practice in North Phoenix/Scottsdale today.

I convinced her to become a large business sponsor as her first marketing expenditure... it will be interesting to see how many azvjc folks are looking for a good family practice doctor.

In addition to her family practice, Tracy specializes in cosmetic/medical spa treatments like Botox, Restylane, Laser Hair Removal (for you extremely hairy Jeep dudes) and the like.

Her website is located at http://www.pinnaclepeakphysicians.com
Her office phone is (480) 502-4445

If you are looking for an excellent family practice doctor (okay... so I'm biased here) or considering having any cosmetic upgrades (or your wives/significant others), please consider giving Dr. Barnett's practice a call.

Her practice is located at:

7605 E. Pinnacle Peak Road
Suite D4
Scottsdale, Arizona 85255

If you call and make an appointment, please mention that you are with the AZVJC.

Woops, too late. I've been in bed all day with the flu, but it's on its way out. I'll be back to normal in a couple days. And I'll see everyone at the BBQ!

I think I have had 1 flu shot in 33 years...if I recall correctly, I got the flu the next day. Is that supposed to happen?

i understand that some of the old and/or weak are susceptible to those symptoms after getting a flu shot :D ... but overall its a good idea to get one

I felt nothing other than a slightly sore arm at the injection site...

I believe they once used a live flu virus and now they do not (speaking out of ignorance here... but I believe this is the case).

According to Tracy, if you feel a flu coming on and you come in within 24 hours or so of first noticing the symptoms, they can stop the flu... obviously; it is better to get the shot in advance if you can.

Bottom line is; catch it in advance or within 24 hours of the first symptoms and you'll be fine.

the flu has a 7-14 incubation period... thats before you have symptoms... if it showed up the next day, you cought it 1-2 weeks prior

Flu symptoms:
High fever (102+)
systemic reaction (every joint in body aches)
has NOTHING to do with stomach/digestive system (throwing up/dihareea)
feels like (was going to mention name of VJC'r but will hold back temptation) ______ is standing on your chest
if you recognize it soon enough, get to doc, ask for TAMIFLU (no relation to Tamibi** by soon to be X:banghead:) .... works incredible, but have to take within 48 hours of symptomatic onset.
