Allen, thanks for coaching many of us through the trail, you made it all that much better, it was great. I had an excellent time!!! And after all the warnings, I still have my steps intact, I'll lose them some day and then have an excuse for sliders. Here are some pics I took, there were 14 jeeps out there today so I can't even begin to remember who's jeep belonged to who.

Hey Everyone!
It was a great day for wheeling in FJ!
A few of us broke off from the airdown to hit Lower on the way out to Upper Woody:

Here's Jaime on an alternate line:

And Ben right behind him:

And then Allen followed them but George was all 'Allen, go that way!'

We took 'The Bypass' road:

While a lot of guys stayed down in the wash:

All of a sudden I look over my sholder & see Ben on an Up&Over I had pointed out to him & Jaime:

We got Allen strapped to him & pulled him off:

Chad just weasled right through (after scarring the bee-geebers out of everybody getting WAY tippy):

And I got a shot of Miles' carnage:

Everyone told him if he took the passenger one off his wife wouldn't notice.
And then my camera officially died for the day so I grabbed Allen's.
It was an awesome day with some fun folks. Glad you Phoenix guys finally made it out to FJ. Nice, huh?
The rest of my photos are on my webshots, take a look. d

Got pulled over less than a quarter of a mile from my house this morning. 47 in a 35... Looks like I'll be taking the traffic class soon... can't afford for the insurance to go up :(
I ended up being late to the airdown spot. That didn't end up mattering concidering how long we had to wait for ya'll to finish lower woody.

That sucks, sorry about your ticket. Next time I think if we maintain smaller groups we won't have the congestion or the waiting in the long train line or waiting for smaller groups to catch up... but I'm glad we all got to wheel together yesterday.
And I'm guessing the person who's tie-rod bent made it home okay?... if that person needs a like new replacement, let me know cuz I've got one they can have.

Yes, we got home with the bent tie rod just fine. Thanks for the offer on the replacement. Allen gave me some info on a heavy duty one so I am going to go that route and try to avoid a repeat down the road. Luckily I have an alternate vehicle for this week

Hi you guys,
I emailed Paul, the photographer who was riding with Chuck on this run, to get the link to the photos he took that day. He asked me to share it with you all, so here you go:
Go to his website: www.paulkuhnimages.com
On the right side of the home page there is a login button. Click that and then type in the user ID which is: woodpecker. Then type in the password which is: 2007.
Enjoy!!
