It was good to meet all of you guys and gals. Finally put several names to faces. I think you all did a great job, and kept moving pretty good. I was impressed how well the jeeps did without lockers. I guess I have not wheeled without lockers in so long I forgot how capable jeeps are without lockers.

Nice job Kyle! I hear there have been more, but that's the first TJ I have seen go up the falls unassisted.

BTW, I got lost coming out to Tonto Village and followed some 4 wheeler trail all over the mountain! I came out on the road up to Diamond Point about 4:15.:10500:

T.C. Thanks again for a job well done! It was great to see alot of the VJC Veterans out there! This should be a yearly event to honor our Vets.

Here's some pics.

My son's XJ did real well out there. This was my son's first run since the build up. He bent his tierod backing down off a ledge, luckily I brought along a spare. A big thanks to Kyle for helping me put that tierod on and Nena for that wonderful alignment job!

GENO WHERE THE HELL WAS YOU I THOUGHT FOR SURE YOU WOULD MAKE IT....T,C.

I would have liked to go, but after the trip to the cracks a few weeks ago, I told myself that I would not wheel untill I finished this :puke: bathroom remodel.
Shauna finishes ASU in December, and need the bathroom ready for her

Looks like I missed a good one Tom. Plus lots of people I had'nt had a chance to meet yet either. The pics are great though, there are so many Jeeps, I cant keep track of who did what with who :dizzy2: :D

We just finished unloading. It was an awsome time. Have not had a better time in a long time. Thanks Tom and Cliff for leading the group of misfits. All I can say is great trail, weather and even greater people. It was great to meet everyone.

I want to thank Sy for helping me on the fall. I was going to back off and let the others try and he kept me going with different lines. I still had to take a winch, but it was an adrenalin rush. Maybe next time. Again thanks a bunch.

I would strongly suggest this run to anyone that has not gone. Tom is a first class guy. Thanks

I also want to thank ( I guess I should ) Don, George and Diane and George for rescuing my wife.

Maybe one day. Again thanks. Everyone that I talked to was very appreciative of the help that you gave them on spotting, until you had to run. I was wanting to run with you guys, but thought it would be better to run withe the others since we had so many requests from them to be able to watch and get ideas from our rigs. Still had a great time. Thanks again.

Hi Everyone,

Well, that was a lot of fun. It was awesome to match so many new faces with screen names!! Thanks Sedona gang for making the trip, it was very nice to meet you Nena and Rick. Thanks for the flag, too, Rick.

I gotta say, there are some talented chefs in this club! Roger, that chorizo was delicious; Diane, that brocolli, rice & cheese dish rocked! All of the pot-luck food was really good.

Here are some of the photo's I took:

My Battery was DYING, which was causing ignition problems, and the Winch is crap... gonna buy a real winch, an WARN!

I think it was a mixture of a lot of things, fear of going to the side and taking a swim, ( no cage ), and bad winch, no power, low hanging shackles, ohh and fear again haha

Thanks for the spot and patients, you Rock Sy!

It was nice to see the faces behind the names. I didn't get to run the Draw this time, my dogs are still recovering from "too much of a good thing is not always good" but am sure they enjoyed all the good things they got to eat Friday. I have ran the Draw with the XJ Club, and know how much fun it was for you guys. I took several pics on the Draw that was behind the camp area, and will post a few at a time through out the day, (cause my pc is slow)
I enjoyed meeting everyone, and hope to do some trail-trekking with you in the future.

Don't believe what he told you Barry. :D :D :D He didn't make it. YET Consensus is that dry he would've hooked up in the rear and made that climb. VALIENT effort he put into it and a couple times we thought he nailed that mofo, but the undercut on the left side kept hammering the right side gaining traction.

It will be done and Cole needs to be the first to do it. Hey TC and Bill you guys wanna go get all that water out of there so Cole can hammer that climb. :D

I only had a couple of pictures. I was really just enjoying driving too much. Anyway here are the couple of poser shots that I had of the new buggy.

I ended up breaking a rear brakeline, cracked the power steering box, and the driver front tire ripped apart my firewall that needed to be redone anyway.

Also Brad and I drove the upper part of Payeatte on Sunday. I have done this before but we went further then I have been before and let me tell you the rocks get BIG!!!. I was like a fat kid in a candy store. Ledges and boulders, it was fun.

And how the hell do you get pictures to show up big in your post?

Yeah, when you "Reply to thread" there are two rows of icons at the top of the box, second row on the right side is a yellow square that allows you to link your pic's directly to your post. So when you want to add a pic., right click on it when it's full sized and select the "copy link location". Then go to your reply and click on the yellow box next to the "quote" icon. There you can "paste" your link into the pop up box and select "OK". Preview the post and see if it looks right, and you should be good to go.
I host all my pic's on Photobucket, it automatically sizes them and provides a quick link feature, not sure how that would work if you are linking directly from your computer....

Not quite Adam, I have been trying this with pic's from my computer. It is a little more complicated, but still can be done.
First, attach the pic. like you have before using the "manage attachments". Then click on it to make it full size. Right click on the bigger picture and select "copy link location" and then click on the "yellow box" Paste the link in the box and select OK. I'm doing it here now.

Adams winch was having issues and it was not in use. The winch from Mike's rig did have the sand bag on it and you can see it on the ground in the pic. At that moment in time the action had just stop and as you can see Sy is still motioning to Mike to cut the pull that is why Kyle was starting to walk up there. All day long anytime a cable was pulled all of us who were either helping or in the area took the appropriate precautions to ensure our own safety. Thank you for the concern however.

Symon623

also, as with any pic, depth is hard to make out here, I was all the way against teh wall a good 8-10 feet teh other side of Adams cable nort being used and Kyle was a few feet the other side of Adams cable, maybe not a safe distance if in use, but that winch was not in service a the time as Jack mentioned.

As far as teh sand bag, good eyes Jack, i had to really look hard to find it but I do see it over the cable on the ground...
