I WOULD HAVE TO AGREE WITH SCOTT ON THIS. I WOULDN'T WANT ANYONE TO MISS A RUN OR THE MAINT RUN, I ALSO THINK WE COULD PLAN THE CINDERS AND DUPONT CABIN ON SEPARATE WEEKENDS. I THINK LINDA HAS TO DO DUPONT ON THE WEEKEND OF THE 10TH, SO LETS LEAVE THAT ALONE AND MOVE THE CINDERS RUN TO THE 24TH-25TH, WITH THE MAINT RUN HAPPENING THE 17TH OR 18TH. MY VOTE WOULD BE FOR THE 18TH, IN CASE SOMEONE WANTED TO PLAN A SHORT DAY RUN ON THE 17TH.
AS FAR AS SPECIALTY TOOLS GO THAT CAN BE USED WITHOUT RAISING THE VEHICLE, I HAVE A TIMING LIGHT, SOME SOCKETS I USE FOR U-JOINT REPLACEMENT, BRAKE BLEEDING HOSES, SPARK PLUG GAP MEASURING GADGET, FEELER GUAGES, A SOCKET THAT FITS THE PINION NUT ON MOST AXLES (1-1/4"), TUBING CUTTER, FLARING TOOL, E-Z OUTS AND SOME COMMON TAPS (NO METRIC), STEERING WHEEL PULLER AND GM TAMPER RING REMOVER, VIBRATION DAMPNER PULLER, COMPRESSION TESTER, PRY BARS AND CHEATER, FILE ASSORTMENT, KNOCKOUT SET BUTANE SOLDERING IRON, TONE TESTER, DIGITAL FLUKE METER (MOD 87), TUBING BENDER, SMALL AND LARGE GRINDER, SAWSALL, PORTABAND, SNAP RING PLIERS, 1/2" DRILL MOTOR AND DRILL INDEX, GENERATOR, EXTENSION CORDS, EXTENSIVE COLLECTION OF ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS, ZIP TIES (SORRY, NO CUTSIE COLORED ONES!), 2 HALON 1211 FIRE EXTINGUISHERS (NO MESS FIRE PROTECTION), 2 GREASE GUNS, MECHANICS CREEPER, AND OF COURSE, THE USUAL SELECTION OF SOCKETS AND WRENCHES.
LET ME KNOW IF I NEED TO LUG ALL THIS OUT THERE FOR USE BY EVERYONE IN THE CLUB, IT'LL BE AN ON YOUR HONOR TYPE BORROW, I ONLY HOPE NO ONE THINKS MY STUFF LOOKS BETTER IN THEIR TOOL BOX, BECAUSE I INTEND TO DRESS DOWN FOR THIS AND GET GREASY UNDER SOMEONE ELSE'S JEEP!!!!........(OR JEEP TYPE VEHICLE). Nick,
There are a couple of runs planned for the weekend of the 10th. The Cinders run in Flagstaff will be that weekend. I also believe that is the weekend that Linda is leading the DuPont Cabin run. I am interested in going on these runs. Please reconsider the maintenance day for the following weekend. Besides, there's always something to work on after a good run!

Subject: Rough two days
Hello everyone,
I have been kinda angry ever since I came back from Tuscon.
Sunday night some time some A@@hole broke into my Xj, busted out the window,
took my wifes camera. Also all of my tools. I had an alarm installed last night at Audio express, $300 bills. (ouch)
After the alarm waz installed I headed for home, pulling out of Audio express
I noticed a trail of water following my XJ. I only live a block from the store so I hurried home watching the temp the whole way. did not get to hot.
I pull into my parking space and jump out pop the hood and there goes all my coolent and water every were. So I have a big crack in my radiator a broken window and no friggin tools to fix it with... (argggggg) Oh yea I forgot to mention that on the way home from Tuscon I lost two sleeping bags and my lawn chair. they flew off the roof when my brand new bungee broke..
So as you all can see my week started off way bad.
If any one has a sapre 4.0 4core radiator they would like to sell
I have about $100 bucks left to try to get one or fix this one...
any help would be appreciated..
Thanks

I like it! Let's have a contest to see who comes up with the best concept
for the logo. These could be posted on the website and a poll put up at the
e-group site. We could then fine tune it after the rough draft is voted on.
This way even the artistically challenged will have a chance to post their
ideas. Maybe a cool AZVJC sticker with this logo could be made up as well?
I'd also like to see if I can register the domain name AZVJC.org , then
Yuccaman would just have to notify the change to his ISP. It costs about $70
to register for 2 years with the InterNic. I'd be willing to register the
domain name for us if its available and allow the group to use it. That way
we could use it on the T-shirts and stickers with our cool new logo :) This
would allow us to remain an information exchanging service rather than a
true club with dues.
What do you all think?

I was kinda thinkin of a sticker of some sorts that we could put on the
lower front right corner of our rigs windshield that just said AZ_VJC or
just AZVJC in big bold black letters.. just to show off our pride. I also
thought it would be cool to put our web site and logon on magnetic buisness
cards and put them on peoples rids when we are out and about.. the more hits
on the web site can bring alot of income to the web master/club. It's all
about advertising... I guess. well just a thought..

I created 3 logo samples and was finally able to get PhotoPoint to accept
them as photos. Check them out. For those interested, I used Corel Xara 2.0
to do the work. The clips came from MasterClips Vector Graphic collection.
I used about a dozen clips in all and took pieces from each to make what
you see here. If anyone has other ideas I would be happy to try them.

Len,
This membership card thing has had me pretty busy all day, since I'm a new
member I thought I could help making something, However it's not a Jeep
pulling a computer and a mouse. I will attach the file that I made but you
will need Lotus word pro to view it. I also made some demo cards that look
pretty nice if anyone lives on the southwest side of Glendale in the area of
75th Ave and Bethany Home Rd. I could meet them.

Send me anything you draw up for a logo. I'll upload them to an album on our
photopoint site so everyone can see them and vote.
We'll start voting in a couple of weeks (depending on what we get).
Try to incorporate something to do with Arizona, Jeeping, and "Virtual". It
doesn't have to have humor in it. It could be something highly techno-modern
and stylized instead - however you interpret it. It should also lend itself
well to a patch style logo.
Good luck!

One idea....if we end up selling T-Shirts, perhaps we could add enough to the cost to cover AzVJC club membership in the ASA (State Assn). Just a thought.

I agree with this idea. Even though I live in Safford, and my opportunity to
participate in M day's is limited, I feel this is an important step to club
strength. I would support the idea of T-shirts also. It is a great thing to
advertise for your Club, and the money is always needed for R&D(research and
development). The cost would be very little concerning the benefit of the
out come. Thumbs up on this one!!!!

Subject: Logo Contest
